Permalink No peace without Russia – Swiss foreign minister

Any talks about peace between Moscow and Kiev will be useless unless Russia participates, the Alpine nation’s top diplomat says | Any peace negotiations to resolve the ongoing conflict between Moscow and Kiev should involve Russia, asserted Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis during a press briefing in Davos, where he co-hosted a gathering focused on discussing a “peace formula" proposed by Kiev. The Ukrainian government has consistently sought to engage entities other than Russia in these discussions.  Security officials from 83 countries gathered in the Swiss mountain resort before the World Economic Forum, which is scheduled to open on Monday evening. This Sunday gathering marked the fourth of its kind organized by Kiev, which actively promotes its vision for conflict resolution, supported mainly by its Western backers.  “One way or another, Russia will have to be included,” Cassis conveyed to journalists on the sidelines of the meeting. “There will be no peace without Russia’s word,” he emphasized. The Swiss diplomat insisted on the urgency of ending the war promptly, as lives are lost daily. “We have no right to wait,” he stated.

Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah speaks at the one-week anniversary of the martyrdom of Resistance leader Wissam Tawil, addressing developments in Gaza and the region. | "Israel" is mired in failure and is stuck in "a deep hole" it has dug in the Gaza Strip, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said.  Speaking at the one-week anniversary of the martyrdom of Resistance leader and martyr Wissam Tawil (Hajj Jawad), today, Sunday, Sayyed Nasrallah hailed the Resistance of Gaza and its people, calling their steadfastness "legendary". "For one hundred days, Gaza and its people continue to steadfastly resist, in a legendary manner [that history has not witnessed]," the Lebanese Resistance leader confirmed.  Pointing to the role the Palestinian Resistance's Military Media had to play in archiving and publicizing the events, resistance operations, and battles in Gaza, Sayyed Nasrallah said, "Gaza's Resistance has creatively responded to the aggression, and the Military Media has had a major role in revealing its heroism in contrast to Israeli secrecy [on developments]." "Israel is mired in failure and stuck in a deep hole it has dug in the Gaza Strip, as its analysts confirm, and it has not achieved any victory or even an 'image' of victory," the Secretary-General of Hezbollah explained, highlighting "Israel's" military failures in the Gaza Strip.  Reflecting on the mounting Israeli losses, Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that this point is further confusing the occupation, especially considering the reports revealed by Israeli media regarding the presence of “4,000 disabled soldiers in its military ranks in [only] 100 days, a number that may rise and reach 30,000." When the war stops, the enemy will have to deal with the catastrophe that befell it as a result of the Resistance in Gaza and other supporting fronts, the Lebanese Resistance leader stressed. MORE.

Permalink Gonzalo Lira: The US government has allowed Ukraine to kill an American journalist who criticised ‘dictator’ Zelensky

In a world of cowardice and lies, telling the truth where – and when – it really matters takes courage. And it can cost you your life. | So, Gonzalo Lira is dead. As he warned in his last video message before being disappeared (this time, as it turned out, forever) by the Ukrainian regime, his political journalism has cost him his life.  A successful social media commentator and American citizen, Lira died while incarcerated by Ukraine’s repression apparatus for his criticism of the Western and Ukrainian position on the war against Russia. His terms were often direct, even harsh and polemical. But he was not a spy or some sort of subversive influence agent. He was transparent and open to a fault, standing with his own name – and life – for everything he said. He was a political prisoner (yes, I agree with Tucker Carlson on this one); the official Ukrainian charges against him are a ludicrous disgrace.  The immediate cause of his death is virtually certain to have been severe, prolonged, and systematic neglect, which led to his indirect killing – fully deliberate or not – by a condition (pneumonia and complications) that is perfectly treatable. In legal terms, this qualifies as, at least, manslaughter or even murder, committed by Ukrainian officers of the “law” and those issuing their orders.

Permalink IN VIDEO: UKRAINIAN NAZIS HELD RUSSIAN POWS IN SMALL CAGES

Russian advance on Ukrainian frontlines is revealing dirty secrets of Ukrainian Nazis. Russian servicemen filmed a king of ‘camp’, where Ukrainians held the captured Russian servicemen. | The footage confirmed that Russian prisoners of war (POWs) were held in inhumane conditions. They were placed in small cages in a pit. The POWs could not even sit down because of the small size of cages. 💬 They are beasts who have lost their human disguise. We consider them brothers, we remember that they are our brothers; but in fact, how Cain killed Abel, his brother, out of envy and became worse than a beast, lost all peace of mind. Today, looking at the Ukrainians, you understand that they chose the path of Cain, the path of Judas, making betrayal their national valor. Their national heroes are Shukhevich, Bandera, Mazepa, who betrayed and did not know the word ‘honor’. Today we are at war with such people. It is very important to understand this. Look, this is for those who doubt, do not understand why we are here and what we are fighting against.  My dear ones, these Judas and Cains deliberately chose the side of the enemy and broke our fraternal ties. They defected to the enemy camp, but there is no place for them either. They are pawns and cannon fodder. We feel sorry for them as people, but they do not pity us. We often come across Ukrainian school books of 2016, where it is written that Russia is the enemy, Ukraine is going to NATO. That’s why I constantly remind who we are at war with.

Israel is presenting its response to South Africa's genocide case at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Friday, a day after Pretoria pleaded with judges to issue an interim order demanding Israel halt its offensive in the embattled territory. | Israel has rejected the accusations of genocide as baseless and has accused South Africa of acting as an emissary of the Hamas. South African lawyer Adila Hassim told judges at The Hague on Thursday that, 💬 "genocides are never declared in advance, but this court has the benefit of the past 13 weeks of evidence that shows incontrovertibly a pattern of conduct and related intention that justifies as a plausible claim of genocidal acts." "Israel deployed 6,000 bombs per week … No one is spared. Not even newborns. UN chiefs have described it as a graveyard for children," she said. "Nothing will stop the suffering except an order from this court."  South Africa submitted its case against Israel at the ICJ last month and has said Israel's actions in Gaza are "genocidal in character because they are intended to bring about the destruction of a substantial part of the Palestinian national, racial and ethnic group". Tembeka Ngcukaitobi, another South African lawyer at the hearing, said Pretoria was not alone in drawing attention to Israel's genocidal rhetoric.  Ngcukaitobi said that at least 15 UN special rapporteurs and 21 members of the UN working groups have warned that what is happening in Gaza reflects a genocide in the making.
