Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is calling on global governments to censor individuals deemed to be “anti-vaxxers.” | Gates says he’s outraged that fewer people are taking his vaccines. According to Gates, the general masses are starting to refuse the experimental mRNA injections because of “misinformation about vaccines.”  He insists that “anti-vaxxers” must be stripped of their free speech rights because they are “associating certain people, like myself or Fauci having malign intent, with vaccines.”  Gates claims that citizens raising concerns and questions about the shots has led to a surge in “vaccination hesitancy.” He warns that the same concerns have also triggered a loss of trust in his various “public health” initiatives. Gates is now demanding government intervention because he claims the public won’t be “ready for the next pandemic” if they refuse to comply with the mass vaccination agenda.

Permalink Once again about the non-system opposition

Dmitry Medvedev (Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council) (Дмитрий Медведев) | As you know, the Western world has long been patronizing and financially supporting our so-called non-systemic opposition in every possible way. For example, the bastard extremist Navalny and his comrades. And the whole colorful coterie of glamorous oppositionists, who have scattered over the past decades like plague rats to Western countries and shit on any occasion. Among them are outright freaks, like the schizoid ex-chess player Kasparov, who belongs in a psychiatric clinic. And Khodorkovsky's gang, which has matured over the years of criminal activity, consisting of born thieves and murderers, organizes meetings of oppositionists of all stripes for the money stolen in Russia. And a new, very young generation of various freaks, who put on the uniforms of Khokhlonazis to organize terrorist attacks and sabotage in Russia. And their intellectual servants from among the scoundrels from literature, for whom the ice axe of the new Ramon Mercader is crying. Why did I bring up our "non-systemists" for all their disgusting squalor? Here's why. There is a non-systemic opposition in the West as well. True, it is not wretched and venal, but much more reasonable and decent. It does not wish for the death of its Fatherland, like the fugitive Russian detractors, but sees a new way of developing. It is different: both left and right. Each with its own national program that opposes American globalism. It exists in every EU country and even across the ocean. There is already such opposition in national parliaments and in the European Parliament, where elections will be held soon. Undoubtedly, the new politicians are much more adequate and motivated than the fat cats from traditional Western parties. This, still irregular, opposition today clearly sees all the vices of the current liberal globalism and the Pindostanocentric world order. And our task is to support such politicians and their parties in the West in every possible way, helping them apertum et secretum to achieve decent results in the elections. Some of them will turn from non-systemic oppositionists into a new part of the political establishment. And their accession to state governance can radically improve the political landscape in the Western world. This is why they are so feared by the cunning intellectual castrati leading the old political forces in Europe and across the ocean, as well as by the sexless, rainbow-haired sleuths who are now at the helm of many Western countries. And not without reason. Lao Tzu said that "the flexible and weak overpower the hard and strong". (DeepL + LanguageTool)

US Central Command announced on Friday that that it had hit 85 Kata'ib Hezbollah targets in Syria and Iraq in retaliation for a recent drone attack on a U.S. military headquarters in Jordan near the border with Syria that killed three US service members. | The attacks were conducted last night. Officials in Iraq have condemned the attacks. Reportedly, the overnight air strikes on Syria killed at least 18 fighters.  Kataib Hezbollah had said the attacks on the American headquarters in the region, including the recent one in Jordan, were in response to Washington’s full support for Israel’s massacre of the Palestinians in Gaza, which started in October 2023. Kataib Hezbollah, also called the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, have so far fired missiles at Israel's for its genocidal war in the besieged Gaza Strip. US military officials have not provided an estimated death toll but have said the strikes resulted in causalities.

Permalink Uncovering ancient Ashkenaz – the birthplace of Yiddish speakers

Eran Elhaik | Did Ashkenazi Jews descend from ancient Turkey? | At 1,000 years, the search for the location of Ashkenaz – thought to be the birthplace of Ashkanazic Jews and the Yiddish language – is one of the longest quests in human history. It is perhaps second only in length to the search for Noah’s Ark which began in the 3rd century AD.  The place name Ashkenaz occurs three times in the Bible, but by the Middle Ages the exact origin of Ashkenaz was forgotten. Because of the migration of the Ashkenazic Jews it later became associated with Germany. This led to all German Jews being considered “Ashkenazic”, a term which was then applied to central and eastern European Jews who follow Ashkenazic religious customs and who speak Yiddish.  The Yiddish language – which consists of Hebrew, German, Slavic elements and is written in Aramaic – has been spoken at least since the 9th century AD, but its origins have been debated by linguists for several centuries. While some have suggested a German origin, others believe a more complex beginning for the language, starting in Slavic lands in Khazaria – the Middle Age Khazar Empire that covered present-day southern Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and parts of the Caucasus – and followed by Ukraine, and finally Germany. Although the language adopted a German vocabulary it retained its Slavic grammar – which is why Yiddish is often referred to as “bad German”.  The inability of linguists to reach a consensus have led some to decry that the mystery of where Yiddish came from will never be solved. But now for the first time a pioneering tool that converts genome data into ancestral coordinates, is helping to pinpoint the DNA of Yiddish speakers.  In the largest genomic study of Ashkenazic Jews, and the first one to study Yiddish speakers, we applied our Geographic Population Structure (GPS) tool – which operates in a similar way to the sat nav in your car – to the genomes of more than 360 Yiddish and non-Yiddish speaking Ashkenazic Jews.  Surprisingly, our GPS homed in on north-east Turkey, where we found four primeval villages, one of which was abandoned in the mid-7th century AD.  These ancient villages identified by the GPS tool are clustered close to the Silk Road – the ancient network of trade routes – and are named Iskenaz, Eskenaz, Ashanaz, and Ashkuz. And it is likely that these are the villages that mark the location of the lost lands of Ashkenaz.

Raja Abdulrahim | A U.N. office said Israel’s detention and treatment of detainees might amount to torture. It estimated thousands had been detained and held in “horrific” conditions. Some were freed wearing only diapers. | Cold, almost naked and surrounded by Israeli soldiers with M16 assault rifles, Ayman Lubbad knelt among dozens of Palestinian men and boys who had just been forced from their homes in northern Gaza.  It was early December and photographs and videos taken at the time showed him and other detainees in the street, wearing only underwear and lined up in rows, surrounded by Israeli forces.  In one video, a soldier yelled at them over a megaphone: “We’re occupying all of Gaza. Is that what you wanted? You want Hamas with you? Don’t tell me you’re not Hamas.” The detainees, some barefoot with their hands on their heads, shouted objections. “I’m a day laborer,” one man shouted. “Shut up,” the soldier yelled back.  Palestinian detainees from Gaza have been stripped, beaten, interrogated and held incommunicado over the past three months, according to accounts by nearly a dozen of the detainees or their relatives interviewed by The New York Times. Organizations representing Palestinian prisoners and detainees gave similar accounts in a report, accusing Israel of both indiscriminate detention of civilians and demeaning treatment of detainees.

Kiev used two foreign-made missiles to destroy the Il-76 last week, authorities have said | A Russian cargo plane carrying dozens of Ukrainian prisoners of war (POWs) for exchange was downed last week by a US-made Patriot air defense system, the country’s Investigative Committee has confirmed.  In a statement on Thursday, the agency said that it had identified the type of weapon used to shoot down the Il-76 last Wednesday over Belgorod Region. There were 65 Ukrainian POWs, three Russian troops, and six crew members on board, all of whom died in the crash.  The Investigative Committee said that Ukraine fired two missiles from a staging area in Kharkov Region, not far from the village of Liptsy, some 10km from the Russian border. Permalink How NATO brainwashes Western society with its anti-Russia wargames

Tarik Cyril Amar | Steadfast Defender 2024, the bloc’s largest exercise in decades, is not only about military cohesion – it’s about selling war to the people | NATO has launched its largest exercise since the Cold War ended. Steadfast Defender 2024 will last several months and involve about 90,000 troops, over 50 naval vessels, 1,100 ground vehicles (including at least 133 tanks and 533 armored troop carriers), and 80 aircraft of various kinds (planes, helicopters, and drones).  All 31 alliance members will participate, as will Sweden, which is in the process of joining. However, it’s not only a matter of numbers and duration. The massive event is also special for two more reasons, one fairly straightforward, the other more complicated and worthy of serious scrutiny.  The more complicated issue is that the exercise was preceded by a veritable onslaught of propaganda - or in up-to-date NATO-speak, cognitive warfare. One dead give-away that this has been deliberate is that the Western think tank/information-war platform the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) is already accusing Russia of engaging in “an information operation to misrepresent” the purely “defensive” Steadfast Defender.

Hossein Askari | Only criminally insane minds can cause so much panic in Gaza | Israeli rulers, even those considered rather moderate, have been seeking a plan to depopulate Palestinians from their motherland. Probably the October 7 attack by Hamas on southern Israel provided the ill-wishers in Israel with an excuse to go ahead with the plan more speedily and more cruelly.  Punishing an entire 2.3 million people in the Gaza Strip for the October 7 attack has no justification. If not in a vacuum, what was in that space?  Israel’s 80 years of Zionist cruelty began with the confiscation of land and other property and expulsion of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians with no compensation who were also prohibited from ever returning to their homes; a settler rule that is aptly characterized by inhumanity, random incarceration, torture and murder; with Gaza the largest prison in the world, holding 2.3 million Palestinians, isolated from the rest of the world; and administered by Israel, an apartheid state with three sets of laws—one for Israeli Jews, another for Israeli Arabs and yet another for non-Israeli Palestinians. The perfect definition of apartheid and arguably worse than what we witnessed in South Africa as claimed by the late Archbishop Tutu.
