Reports are coming out of central Ukraine **claiming** "HUGE numbers of foreign troops have been arriving in the city of Cherkassy; Poles, Germans, French." | Locals in that area of Ukraine say "They (foreign troops) are settled on the ground floors of schools and kindergartens. We would like to point out that the educational process in educational institutions continues on the second and third floors." Parents are very worried about their children's lives, as attacks are possible even though these foreign troops are hiding behind children. Locals also say "there is no educational process at night . . . " which is apparently when these troops go into action. UPDATE: Ihor Taburets, head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, denied as "Russian propaganda," claims that Polish, German, and French, soldiers are stationed in schools and kindergartens in Cherkasy.

Permalink Potential deployment of French troops to Ukraine may be of benefit to Russia — Medvedev

The deputy head of the Russian Security Council pointed out that such military personnel would become full-fledged combatants as part of an interventionist contingent, and so their destruction would be "a priority and a matter of honor" for the Russian Armed Forces. | 💬 "As for the Gallic roosters in the French leadership, it would be tantamount to being guillotined. They would be torn to pieces both by the enraged relatives and angry members of the opposition, who have been assured all along that France is not at war with Russia. Also, it would be a good lesson for other rambunctious fools in Europe," Medvedev predicted.

Cesar Chelala | This is an incredibly callous statement by an insensitive, uncaring man: In a March 8, 2024 interview with Tarek Masoud, faculty chair of Harvard University’s Middle East Initiative, Kushner said, 💬 “You may want to get as many civilians out of Rafah as possible. I think you want to clear that out. I know that with diplomacy maybe you get them into Egypt. I know that that has been refused, but [with] the right diplomacy I think it would be possible. But in addition to that, the thing that I would try to do if I was Israel right now is I would just bulldoze something in the Negev, I would try to move people in there. I know that won’t be the popular thing to do, but I think that that’s a better option to do so you can go in and finish the job.”

Permalink Top UK Lawmaker Calls for Bill Gates to Be Executed for ‘Crimes against Humanity’

A top British lawmaker has delivered a powerful statement before his colleagues in the historic UK Parliament, calling for Bill Gates and other members of the “Covid Cabal” to be tried and executed for “crimes against humanity.” | Member of Parliament Andrew Bridgen asserted that Gates and others should face the death penalty for their roles in pushing Covid mRNA vaccines, lockdowns, masking, and other restrictions during the pandemic. Bridgen cited the “Covid Cabal” which appeared to include Gates and the World Economic Forum (WEF), the United Nations (UN), the World Health Organization (WHO), pharmaceutical company executives, globalist government officials, and corporate elites. Bridgen argues that Gates and the “Covid Cabal” have committed “crimes against humanity” that are “tantamount to treason against the public.” He urged his colleagues to support treating those guilty of these crimes with the death penalty.  During his statement, Bridgen faced pushback from Penny Mordaunt, the Leader of the House of Commons and a long-time WEF member. In response to a rebuttal from Mordaunt, Bridgen declared: “Heads of governments around the world and others below them have engaged in what is tantamount to treason against the public.” During a round of Business Questions in the UK House of Commons, Bridgen made his case for executing Gates and his globalist allies.

Day 166 : Israeli Airstrikes on Gaza’s al-Nuseirat Camp Leave 27 Dead; Resistance Groups Engages in Fierce confrontations with IOF | Twenty-seven Palestinians were martyred in an Israeli airstrike on a house in the al-Nusseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip early Wednesday. The attack also resulted in several injuries. This airstrike follows another Israeli attack that took place at the Kuwait Roundabout in Gaza City, where 23 Palestinians were killed and numerous others were wounded. Reports from various media outlets indicate that Israeli aircraft also targeted a residential building northwest of Gaza City, while artillery shelling was reported in the western areas of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip.  The Ministry of Health in Gaza released a chilling statistic, stating that since October 7, a total of 31,819 Palestinians have lost their lives due to Israeli aggression, with a staggering 73,934 injuries reported.  However, amidst the devastation, Palestinian Resistance factions in Gaza have shown resilience and launched counter-attacks against Israeli occupation forces.  IOF Disconnected Respirators from Patients and Arrested Medical staff at Al-Shifa—Israeli occupation army has been accused of disconnecting artificial respirators from patients at Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza. Reports from witnesses indicate that the Zionist army is also targeting individuals in the compound’s courtyards and arresting medical personnel. The situation at the medical complex has escalated, with martyrs reported and numerous Palestinians injured as a result of the occupation’s aggressive tactics. The Israeli occupation forces have even targeted a house near Al-Shifa, west of Gaza City.

Jared Kushner, Trump's former White House adviser, suggested Israel should remove civilians while it "cleans up" the area. | Donald Trump’s son-in-law and former White House adviser, Jared Kushner, has said Gaza's "waterfront property" has a “very valuable” potential, suggesting Israel should remove civilians while it “cleans up” the area.

💬 “Gaza’s waterfront property, it could be very valuable, if people would focus on building up livelihoods,” Kushner said in an interview dated 15 February.

It was posted earlier this month on the YouTube channel of the Middle East Initiative, a programme of Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, and first reported on Tuesday by The Guardian.

💬 “If you think about all the money that's gone into this tunnel network and into all the munitions, if that would have gone into education or innovation, what could have been done?”  “It’s a little bit of an unfortunate situation there, but I think from Israel’s perspective, I would do my best to move the people out and then clean it up,” Kushner added. “But I don’t think that Israel has stated that they don’t want the people to move back there afterwards.”

Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi has called for serious practical steps to cease Israel’s raids on the Gaza Strip in his New Year message to Asian countries celebrating Nowruz. | The Iranian president said Nowruz is a message of peace and peaceful coexistence and also a symbol of reconciliation.

💬 “This year, we, the countries of the Nowruz civilization zone, are celebrating this auspicious occasion while the oppressed and powerful people of Gaza are facing the brutal attacks of the usurper Zionist regime, and are also under complete siege, being deprived of having access to basic health and livelihood facilities and are in danger of starvation and famine,” Raisi stated.  “It is our human duty to use our capabilities to take serious practical steps to stop the attacks of the Zionist regime and send humanitarian aid to the oppressed people of Gaza,” he added in a message addressed to the leaders and people of the countries of the Nowruz civilization zone.

Permalink Israel’s atrocities at Shifa Hospital illustrate military chaos, confusion: Hamas

The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas says Israel’s new raid on al-Shifa Hospital underlines the regime’s “confusion and hopelessness” in achieving its goals in the besieged Gaza Strip. | Hamas said on Monday the regime “has committed a new crime” by directly targeting al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City on Monday morning “without caring about the patients, medical staff and displaced people in it.” It said “crimes” being committed by the regime are “an expression of its confusion and loss of hope in achieving any military achievement other than targeting defenseless civilians.”  Hamas criticized the international community and the United Nations for inaction, which, it said, was a green light to the regime “to continue the war of genocide and ethnic cleansing” in Gaza. The resistance group urged international institutions to fulfill their responsibilities and protect the remaining medical facilities in the Palestinian territory. The regime’s forces started an overnight raid on the hospital, Gaza’s largest, which has sheltered thousands of Palestinians who fled the war in northern parts of the territory.

Permalink President Putin’s Dream, Russian Unity, and Conflict w/ NATO: KEY Takeaways from Historic Victory Speech for FIFTH TERM

The head of state thanked the people of Russia for their trust and support after the three-day elections. | President Vladimir Putin has addressed the people of Russia following a historic election victory with over 87% of the vote in his favor, amid a record-high turnout. Here are the key takeaways from his speech and a question-and-answer session at campaign headquarters in Moscow on Sunday night.

Permalink Ex-Russian president reacts to Germany’s Putin snub

Berlin has vowed not use the Russian leader’s official title, having criticized the election process | Berlin’s decision not to refer to Russian President Vladimir Putin by his proper title in government documents is ridiculous and possibly a sign of a mental disorder, officials in Moscow have said. The diplomatic snub was announced on Monday in an effort to discredit last week’s presidential election in Russia. Germany and other Western nations claim the electoral process was neither free nor fair. A government spokesperson said the move was symbolic, noting that communications between Berlin and Russia were severely limited anyway. Reacting to the news, former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev said the stunt “comes from shameful weakness.” He claimed that Germany was essentially saying “We cannot affect the outcome of the election… but just to spite them we need to make some stupid statement.”

Dmitry Medvedev (Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council) (Дмитрий Медведев) | What freaks they are! | The rhetoric of Western morons is strikingly contradictory. Every speech, every day, a pearl. One cannot understand whether it is childish infantilism, or mature stupidity, or utter insolence.  Here is the chief frogman who scares the French landing in Crimea (i.e. in Russia), but swears to answer Vladimir Putin immediately in case of a call. What a consistent and courageous man!  The sausage makers have gone further: they say we will no longer consider Vladimir Putin the President, but we will negotiate with him. The question then is, who is he for them, if he does not have the necessary legitimacy? And what is the price of such negotiations? And all this from shameful weakness. We can't influence the elections, we don't recognize the results, but to make a mess of things, we have to make a stupid statement The officials of Pindostan [the US] are even more brazen. They are openly and unashamedly waging a hybrid war against us. They are using everything in it: huge supplies of weapons to the enemy, sending their military specialists and the work of their intelligence forces. And then they say in plain sight: we want to resume strategic dialog on armaments. No way. This is like negotiating with Hitler about lowering the threshold of offensive weapons during the Great Patriotic War.  It's like that with everything! Endless fidgeting of the ass on the chair, cosmic lies, stale snot, and theatrical tears for the sake of imitation of good intentions. But in reality, it's lies and manipulation to maintain their power. What freaks they are! (DeepL + Grammarly)

Permalink Israel threatening Marwan Barghouti’s life in jail: Palestinian official

A senior Palestinian official says Marwan Barghouti, a prominent Palestinian detainee, is being isolated and tortured by Israeli authorities. | Hussein al-Sheikh, the secretary-general of the executive committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), in a Monday post on X said Israeli authorities were endangering Barghouti’s life. Sheikh said Barghouti was being exposed to “isolation, torture and attempts to coerce, humiliate and beat him, putting his life in danger.”

💬 “We call on the international community, institutions and international organizations to intervene immediately and urgently in order to stop the repressive measures against our prisoners and our leaders in the occupation prisons, protect them, and release them immediately,” Sheikh said.

Barghouti, 64, has reportedly been beaten by Israeli guards in recent days. Last month, Israel’s far-right minister Itamar Ben Gvir said Barghouti had been placed in solitary confinement. Barghouti was a prominent leader in the first and second Intifadas. He has been behind bars for over two decades.

Permalink Torture, Executions, Babies Left to Die, Sexual Abuse… These Are Israel’s Crimes

Jonathan Cook | Why is the same western media obsessively reheating five-month-old allegations against Hamas so reluctant to focus on Israel’s current, horrifying atrocities? | Hostages tortured to death. Parents executed in front of their children. Doctors beaten. Babies murdered. Sexual assault weaponised. No, not Hamas crimes. This is part of an ever-growing list of documented atrocities committed by Israel in the five months since 7 October – quite separate from the carpet bombing of 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza and a famine induced by Israel’s obstruction of aid.  Last week, an investigation by the Israeli newspaper Haaretz disclosed that some 27 Palestinians seized off Gaza’s streets over the past five months are known to have died during interrogations inside Israel. Some were denied medical treatment. But most are likely to have been tortured to death.  Three months ago, a Haaretz editorial warned that Israeli jails “must not become execution facilities for Palestinians”. Israeli TV channels have been excitedly taking viewers on tours of detention centres, showing the appalling conditions Palestinians are kept in, as well as the psychological and physical abuse they are subjected to. An Israeli judge recently called the makeshift cages in which Palestinians are held “unsuitable for humans”.

The European Union announced a 7.4 billion euro ($8.1 billion) funding package and an upgraded relationship with Egypt on Sunday. | The agreement lifts the EU's relationship with Egypt to a "strategic partnership" and was unveiled as a delegation of leaders visited Cairo. It is designed to boost cooperation in areas including renewable energy, trade and security, while delivering grants, loans and other funding over the next three years to support Egypt's faltering economy.  The proposed funding includes 5 billion euros in concessional loans and 1.8 billion euros of investments, according to a summary published by the EU. Another 600 million euros would be provided in grants, including 200 million euros for managing migration.  Such deals were "the best way to address migratory flows", said Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who travelled to Cairo alongside EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, the Greek, Austrian and Belgian prime ministers, and the Cypriot president.

Permalink What NATO Country Doesn’t Have Troops in Ukraine?

Ted Snider | European discussions about sending troops obscures the fact that several NATO countries already have boots on the ground. | The transcript of an intercepted February 19 conversation between senior German air force officials discussing the possible transfer of German Taurus long-range missiles to Ukraine says that the Germans “know how the English do it....They have several people on-site.” The revelation that the UK has troops on the ground has now been confirmed by the British Prime Minister’s office: “Beyond the small number of personnel we do have in the country supporting the armed forces of Ukraine, we haven't got any plans for large-scale deployment.”  The transcript says that “the French don’t do it that way,” but Scholz has hinted that they do. On February 26, the German Chancellor defended his decision not to send Taurus missiles to Ukraine by saying that it would require the presence of Germans in Ukraine to match their British and French counterparts. He explained, “What is being done in the way of target control and accompanying target control on the part of the British and the French can’t be done in Germany.” He worried that “a participation in the war could emerge from what we do.”  The transcript also cryptically alludes to an American presence on the ground. Wondering whether Ukraine would be able to do targeting on their own, one of the officials says, “It's known that there are numerous people there in civilian attire who speak with an American accent.”

Permalink The EU adopts a ‘Media Freedom’ law, where ‘freedom’ doesn’t mean what you think it does

Rachel Marsden | The act, like most of the bloc’s virtue signaling, is the opposite of what its name ought to herald | The EU’s new Media Freedom Act has now been voted into law, with 464 votes for, 92 against, and 65 abstentions.  There are some news outlets whose coverage of the vote I’d like to see. Like RT’s, where you’re reading this right now. But anyone who’s viewing this from inside the European Union’s bastion of democracy and freedom is likely doing so via a VPN connection routed through somewhere outside the bloc, to circumvent its press censorship.  Nothing in this new law suggests that this will change, or that there will be increased access to information and analysis for the average person. Such improved freedoms might lead to people making up their own minds rather than having various flavors of a similar narrative served up for mass consumption. As has become par for the course in so-called Western democracies, inconvenient facts and analysis will still be dismissed as “disinformation” and criticism of the establishment still qualified as an effort to sow division – as though dissent itself wasn’t supposed to be proof of a healthy and vibrant democracy.  So, now that we’ve gotten out of the way any hope of lifting the EU’s top-down censorship in the absence of due process, exactly what kind of lip service does this new law pay to the lofty notion of media freedom?

Previously, Berlin had only advised against traveling to Russia. According to a ministry press release, issued on Thursday, the change was due to the continuing deterioration of the situation in Russia, including “arbitrary arrests being observed more and more frequently.” The new notice also warns against travel to Russia’s regions bordering Ukraine, which along with Moscow, have been the target of repeated drone attacks in recent months. “Further attacks cannot be ruled out,” including on the public transport network, the press release warned.

Using bulldozers and controlled demolitions, Israel has destroyed some 1,100 buildings in the zone so far | Israeli forces are destroying farmland and demolishing hundreds of homes as well as schools in Gaza to create an 800-meter buffer zone alongside the border with Israel, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported on 16 March.  Palestinians would be barred from the zone, which Israeli officials claim is needed to allow Israelis to return to settlements surrounding Gaza, which were evacuated after the Hamas-led Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on 7 October.  Some 1,200 Israeli soldiers and civilians were killed during the Hamas attack, including many by Israeli forces themselves using helicopters, drones, and tanks. Israeli forces wished to prevent Hamas from taking captives back to Gaza.  The WSJ adds that plans for creating the buffer zone began in the first days of the war and would allow Israeli troops to see and stop anyone approaching the border.

Permalink Expert Says Gaza Seaport is to Facilitate Mass Migration of Palestinians to Europe

The “hidden objective” revealed: A Middle Eastern expert says the “hidden objective” behind the U.S. building a seaport in Gaza is to facilitate the mass migration of Palestinians to Europe. | President Joe Biden announced during his State of the Union speech last week that the U.S. Military would establish an “emergency mission to establish a port in the Gaza Strip” to get humanitarian aid to the Palestinian enclave. However, according to Hisham Khreisat, a Jordanian military and strategic affairs expert, “the floating port off the shores of Gaza is a humanitarian facade hiding voluntary migration to Europe.”

💬 “This military tactical port will receive Israeli approval because Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been seeking this idea since the beginning of the war, aiming for the voluntary displacement of Gazans and their flee to Europe,” Khreisat told Anadolu Agency.

According to the news agency, the port is designed to encourage “voluntary Palestinian migration to Europe and eliminating the role of the Rafah border crossing with Egypt, essentially placing Israel in control of all Gaza crossings and ending any Palestinian sovereignty over them.”
