Permalink EU: More than two thousand aid trucks stuck at Rafah crossing

The European Union announced on Tuesday that more than 2,000 trucks carrying humanitarian aid and commercial goods are stranded on the Egyptian side of the Rafah border crossing with the Gaza Strip. | The Directorate General of the European Union for Humanitarian Aid said in a tweet on the "X" platform on Tuesday: The intensive Zionist military operations still prevent the opening of the Rafah crossing. More than 2,000 truckloads of humanitarian aid and commercial goods are waiting in Egypt and ready to enter Gaza.  The European Union called for sustainable, safe and unhindered humanitarian delivery. The directorate published a short video on "X" showing a large number of trucks carrying foodstuffs, lined up on a large area of land, which the directorate said were on the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing.  On the sixth of May, the Israeli army announced the start of a military operation in Rafah, ignoring international warnings of the repercussions on the lives of the displaced in the city. The next day, the enemy army announced its control of the Rafah border crossing with Egypt, the only land access for the residents of the Gaza Strip to the outside world.
