The Saudi Ministry of Defense has reacted to the reports released by Israeli media sources regarding the country's alleged involvement in the Zionist regime's attack on Yemen last night. | Reacting to the claims, Defense Ministry spokesman Brigadier General Turki al-Maliki said on Sunday that his country did not participate in the Israeli raids targeting the Yemeni city of Hodeidah on Saturday. He further stressed that Saudi Arabia would not allow any party to violate its airspace.  Israeli war jets launched a series of airstrikes on Saturday targeting Yemen's province of Hodeidah on the Red Sea coast. The aggression targeted an oil refinery, leading to a massive fire that can be seen kilometers away.  After the Israeli attack on Yemeni soil, the spokesperson of the Arab country's Army Yahya Saree said that Yemeni armed forces would not hesitate to retaliate the Israeli strikes on Hudaydah Port.

Permalink "The Night Won’t End: Biden’s War on Gaza"

For most of us, the night typically means dinner with family, a movie, and preparing for bed. For those living—or more accurately, trying to live—in Gaza, the night signifies something entirely different: terror. “The night is long. The night is terrifying. The night means fear. The night means remembering Hind,” says the mother of Hind Rajab, a young girl who was shot dozens of times by the IDF in Gaza. This documentary echoes the sentiments of many who endure the relentless bombing campaign in one of the most densely populated areas worldwide.  “My mother, my brother, my sister, and my two children—they’re my only children and they’re gone...” This heart-wrenching account is just one of the many that highlight the horrors Gazans face under Israel’s brutal siege and bombing. Emily Tripp, Director of Airwars, emphasizes the severity, stating, “This is the conflict where we have counted more children killed in a single strike than we have in any other conflict… multiple times.” (Odysee here + BitChute here)

Permalink World Court rules Israeli occupation illegal, calls for ‘evacuation of all settlers’

“Israeli settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, and the regime associated with them, have been established and are being maintained in violation of international law,” said the president of the court. | The United Nations’ highest court said on Friday that Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories and settlements there are illegal and should be withdrawn as soon as possible, in its strongest findings to date on the Israel-Palestinian conflict.  The advisory opinion by judges at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), known as the World Court, was not binding but carries weight under international law and is likely to fuel more criticism of Israel’s settlement expansion policies. The court ruling will impact any future Palestinian-Israeli settlement negotiations.  “Israeli settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, and the regime associated with them, have been established and are being maintained in violation of international law,” President Nawaf Salam said, reading the findings of a 15-judge panel. The court said Israel’s obligations include paying restitution for harm and “the evacuation of all settlers from existing settlements”.  The ICJ opinion also found that the UN Security Council, the General Assembly, and all states have an obligation not to recognize the occupation as legal nor “render aid or assistance” toward maintaining Israel’s presence in the occupied territories.

Trump further said that he believes both sides will be able to come together and negotiate a deal. Zelensky said in a separate statement that both sides agreed to eventually meet in person for further talks on what steps can be taken to facilitate a negotiated settlement.  Earlier this month, Russian President Vladimir Putin said he takes seriously Trump's statements on being ready to help resolve the conflict in Ukraine. Permalink ICJ rules Israel settlement policy in occupied Palestinian territories in breach of international law

Israel's settlement policy in occupied Palestinian territories is in breach of international law, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) has ruled. | The "transfer by Israel of settlers to the West Bank and Jerusalem as well as Israel's maintenance of their presence" is "contrary to article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention", a panel of 15 judges from around the world said. The court said Israel must end the construction of settlements immediately - acts which render "Israel's presence in the occupied Palestinian territory unlawful". Israel's continued presence is "illegal" and should be ended as "rapidly as possible", the ICJ added. It also found that Israel's use of natural resources was "inconsistent" with its obligations under international law as an occupying power.  Israel did not send a legal team to the hearings. In written comments, however, it said questions put to the court were prejudiced and failed to address its security concerns.

It is a clear provocation designed to intimidate Russia and expand the war beyond Ukraine. Not surprisingly, it replicates the same conditions that triggered the conflict in February 2022, that is, it installs NATO’s military infrastructure in locations that pose an existential threat to Russia’s survival. This includes 681 fatalities and over 4,100 hospitalized wounded men, with a few thousand additional soldiers suffering from post-traumatic responses to the war. The drafting of Haredi men, following the collapse of the law enabling their exemption and demands by the High Court of Justice to finally resolve this crisis, is expected to proceed at a slower pace.

The letter is addressed to European Council President Charles Michel and the 26 EU leaders and was drafted after Orban had talks with Trump in the US, as well as with the presidents of Ukraine, Russia, and China.

💬 "I can (...) state with certainty that after his victory in the elections, he will not wait until his inauguration. (Trump) will be ready to act as a mediator for peace immediately. He has detailed plans with the right foundations for this," the Hungarian prime minister noted in his letter.

Trump, moreover, has often stated that he could, if he were US president, end the war in the East Asian region. Europe in 24 hours!  Nationalist leader Orban, a longtime Trump supporter, paid a surprise visit to Kyiv, Moscow, and Beijing last week on a "peace mission" after his country took over the rotating EU presidency, sparking the ire of internationalists in Brussels and Washington. 💬 "Our European strategy in the name of transatlantic unity has copied the pro-war policy of the US. We have so far had no sovereign and independent European strategy or political action plan," he said. "I propose to discuss whether the continuation of this policy makes sense for the future," he added.

Orban also proposed "reopening direct diplomatic channels of communication with Russia" while maintaining high-level contacts with Kyiv, as well as holding talks with China "on how to conduct the next peace conference". (DeepL + Grammarly)

Permalink Why Russia Will Defeat NATO in Ukraine

Mike Whitney | NATO’s three-day summit in Washington DC achieved the objective for which it was designed, to create a public forum in which all 32 members of the Alliance could express their unanimous support for upcoming attacks on the Russian Federation. | The summit was followed by the release of a formal Declaration which strongly suggests that the decision to go war has already been made. As many people know, NATO has green-lighted a policy that allows the firing of missiles at targets inside Russian territory. This policy will also apply to the numerous NATO F-16s that will be deployed to Ukraine sometime in the near future. (F-16s can carry nuclear missiles) Despite overwhelming support for these policies among the members, we must not forget that these are blatant acts of aggression that are forbidden under international law. No amount of public relations hoopla can conceal the fact that NATO is on-track to commit the “supreme crime”.  It’s worth noting, that NATO intends to take a more active role in the conduct of the war. According to National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, the Alliance plans to formally establish a NATO office inside Ukraine that will be used to oversee military operations. In short, the managers of the conflict no longer have any interest in concealing their involvement. This is now a NATO operation.
