Nigeria Refuses to Accept U.S. Dollar for Oil Sales | Nigeria has announced it will no longer accept the United States Dollar as payment for its oil. Nigeria is one of the world's largest exporters of “black gold.” The country's authorities, having looked at the recent experience of other countries, decided to introduce mandatory payments for hydrocarbons in the national currency.
