UNICEF says an average of three children have been killed per day since Israel escalated in Lebanon in September | The UN’s child relief agency, UNICEF, said Tuesday that more than 200 children had been killed by Israeli attacks on Lebanon since Israel escalated its bombing campaign in the country in September.

💬 “Despite more than 200 children killed in Lebanon in less than two months, a disconcerting pattern has emerged: their deaths are met with inertia from those able to stop this violence,” said UNICEF spokesman James Elder.

💬 Elder detailed some recent strikes that killed children, including an attack that slaughtered an entire displaced family. “On Sunday, 10 November: Seven children were killed from the same extended family. The family of 27 – all killed – was seeking shelter in Mount Lebanon after fleeing violence in the south,” he said.

He also noted that hundreds of thousands of Lebanese children have become homeless as Israel’s airstrikes and invasion of southern Lebanon have displaced an estimated 1.2 million people.

At least fifteen people have lost their lives after Israeli military aircraft carried out airstrikes against positions in the western flank of Damascus and the outskirts of the Syrian capital. | Syria’s official news agency SANA, citing a military source, reported that Israeli warplanes launched an assault from the direction of occupied Golan Heights at around 3:20 p.m. local time (1220 GMT) on Thursday, targeting several residential buildings in the Mazzeh neighborhood of Damascus and the Qudsaya area in the Damascus countryside. The source added that the attack resulted in 15 people killed and 16 others injured. He noted that there were women and children among the casualties and that the toll was preliminary and could rise. The United States and Britain have conducted aerial assaults on Yemen’s western province of Hudaydah as the Arab country continues its retaliatory operations against the Israeli regime. | Yemen’s al-Masirah television channel reported on Tuesday that American and British warplanes launched three airstrikes on the At Tuhayta district south of Hudaydah. The report provided no information about possible casualties or damage. Tuesday marked the 3rd consecutive day the US-British coalition bombed Yemen. Monday's attacks targeted the Yemeni provinces of 'Amran and Sa'ada and Sunday's air raids hit the capital Sana'a and other areas. The US and its allies have been striking Yemen over the past months in violation of the country’s sovereignty and international law.

Permalink Israeli Strike Kills 23, Including Seven Children, in North Lebanon Village

Despite international efforts to broker a ceasefire in Lebanon, Israel continues to escalate airstrikes across that nation. Today, one of those strikes hit the northern village of Almat, killing at least 23 people, seven of them identified as children by Lebanon’s Health Ministry. | Rescue workers are still in the area looking for more survivors, and the toll has not been finalized. At least six survivors were reported as wounded. Almat is in a region that is strongly majority Maronite Christian, but the village’s own population is majority Shi’ite Muslim.  Israel has yet to comment on the strike on the village, but security officials reported to the AFP that an unnamed Hezbollah member was visiting one of the attacked homes. He apparently died of his wounds, along with a lot of other people.

Yemen’s Armed Forces announce striking a military base near the city of Jaffa in Tel Aviv with a hypersonic ballistic missile in a “high-profile operation.” | According to the spokesman, the operation came “in support of the oppressed peoples of Palestine and Lebanon, and in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese resistances, and as part of the fifth stage of [Yemen’s] escalation [against the Israeli regime].”  This is not the first time that the forces have fired the projectile towards the occupied territories. The strike came amid the Israeli regime’s October 2023-present genocidal war and concomitant siege on the Gaza Strip and deadly escalation against Lebanon, which have respectively claimed the lives of more than 43,600 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and at least 3,136 Lebanese.

The commander of the Iranian Navy has hailed the force’s comprehensive surveillance over the American warships that sail across regional waters.

💬 “The United States aircraft carrier as well as 16-strong destroyers and frigates that are present in the region are being constantly surveilled by our reconnaissance drones,” Rear Admiral Shahram Irani said on Monday. “We are over their heads,” he added, referring to the warships in question. [...] “This is a very important fact that we enjoy the capability to surveil the enemy even at sea,” Irani said, noting that this matter had turned into “a cause for concern for the Americans.” [...] “The Navy escorts oil and commercial cargoes from Venezuela’s coastline to the Americas, Europe, and Africa, confronting whatever violation that could take place against our ships,” Irani noted.

The Iranian surveillance aircraft were visible even to the naked eye, the commander said, describing the visibility as a means of the Islamic Republic’s “saying to the Americans that this region is not your place and we maintain all of your movements under observation.”

At least 62 soldiers killed and hundreds injured since the start of October, but some suspect real figure is being concealed by military censorship | Israel has recorded its worst month for military deaths this year amid continuing fierce fighting in southern Lebanon and northern Gaza.  At least 62 soldiers have been killed since the start of October, according to official figures, making this the deadliest month for the Israeli military since last December when 110 soldiers were killed at the height of its war against Hamas in Gaza.  It also marks a steep increase in recorded fatalities compared with recent months. Just nine deaths were recorded by the Israeli military in September, and 63 in total between June and August.  At least 35 Israeli soldiers have been killed in southern Lebanon or on the Lebanese border since Israel invaded its northern neighbour at the start of the month in an escalation of its war against Hezbollah. The Lebanese militant group has said it has killed more than 90 Israeli soldiers, although these figures are unverified.  At least 19 soldiers have also died this month in continuing fighting with Hamas in Gaza, where Israel is accused of carrying out a campaign of ethnic cleansing and extermination against Palestinians trapped in the north of the enclave.

In its latest assessment published on Nov. 1, the Health Ministry reported that Israeli military operations in Lebanon had caused 178 deaths and 292 injuries in the health sector. | Lebanon's health sector is at the heart of fierce Israeli air assaults, with the south of the country and the southern suburbs of Beirut hardest hit, reports CNN in a lengthy analysis. In the first month of the all-out air offensive in Lebanon, which began on Sept. 23, Israeli strikes damaged 34 hospitals, killed 111 emergency medical technicians and hit 107 ambulances, according to data compiled by the Lebanese Health Ministry.  CNN examined more than 240 air strikes in Lebanon and found that at least 24 hospitals were within the 500-meter danger zone — used by the Israeli army as a parameter for evacuation zones — of the bombs. Israel dropped munitions at a so-called “lethal” distance — 340 meters — from at least 19 hospitals, showed the analysis, which covered the first month of the war.

The American-British alliance has renewed its aggression on Yemen, this time targeting a location in a proximal distance to the Hodeidah University. | American-British airstrikes targeted post-midnight on Wednesday the vicinity of Hodeidah Univeristy, in the al-Hok district, westernmost Yemen. Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Yemen confirmed that the aggression did not result in any casualties.  This follows the deployment and use of B-2 Spirit bombers against the capital Sanaa on October 17, marking yet another act of military aggression in the region and a significant escalation against Yemen, in their campaigns of supporting the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza. A US defense official confirmed to CNN that the strikes were conducted via the B-2 bomber, which is usually deployed to strike areas heavily defended by air defense systems.

They will discuss the Defense of Israel and U.S. Military Assets in the Region from further Iranian Attacks, as well as the possibility of Joint Actions or Strikes against Iran in case of Escalation.  Israel has decided to strike Iran again, blaming Iran for a Hezballah Drone which struck the private home of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Hezballah allegedly launched that drone from Lebanon, but according to Israel, Iran is responsible.  Last weekend, Israel attacked Iran because the Iranians had the temerity to attack Israel back. Iran retaliated with missiles, for Israel bombing a building in Tehran, which assassinated Ismail Hanniyeh.

Israel has seized farmland in Syria's southern Quneitra province, which could become part of Israel's 'Sufa 53' road project. | Israel has invaded and bulldozed farmland in parts of Syria's Quneitra province, following the withdrawal of a Russian monitoring force in the area with fears it might be attempting to annex the whole of the strategically important Golan Heights.  Israeli troops left parts of the Golan already occupied by Israel into Syrian territory close to the town of Kodna, in the southern Quneitra countryside, local sources told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, The New Arab's Arabic-language service.  Bulldozers joined the Israeli invasion force and levelled 1,000 metres by 500 metres of farmland, including olive groves, and sealed it with barbed wire in a bid to "annex" the Syrian territory, Ayman Abo Muhammed Horani, spokesman for Horan Free Media, a monitor covering events in southern Syria, said. Israel has illegally occupied parts of the Syrian Golan Heights since 1967.

Hezbollah's Resistance fighters continue to confront Israeli occupation forces by targeting their positions in the northern settlements and along the southern front with rockets, artillery and drones. | The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah continues to confront Israeli occupation forces along the southern Lebanese border by targeting their sites with rockets and artillery.  In its first released statement today, the resistance announced that at 12:20 am on Monday, its fighters launched a rocket salvo at a gathering of Israeli occupation soldiers situated between the settlements of al-Manara and "Margaliot."  Then, at 12:50 AM, the resistance targeted, for the second time, a gathering of occupation soldiers between the settlements of Al-Manara and Margaliot, with a salvo of rockets, proceeded thereafter to target an Israeli troop gathering at the border, specifically at Fatima Gate four consecutive times.
