Permalink "Israel" informs UN, officially bans agency for Palestinian refugees after repeating allegations (lies) ("incitement to hate and violence")

The Israeli regime has banned the operations of UNRWA, the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees, terminating the body’s decades-long crucial relief practices across the Palestinian territories and putting millions of lives at risk. | In a statement on Monday, the regime’s foreign ministry said, "On the instruction of Foreign Minister Israel Katz,” it had notified the UN of the “cancellation of the agreement” between the regime and the agency.  Katz, meanwhile, repeated the allegations, which the regime had first leveled against the body in January that its employees had been involved in an October 2023 retaliatory operation staged by the Gaza Strip’s resistance movements against the occupied Palestinian territories, during which hundreds of Zionists were taken captive.  He alleged that the organization’s staff had “participated” in the operation and that many of the body’s employees are "Hamas operatives,” referring to one of the Gaza-based resistance groups that staged the retaliation.

Permalink Japan Raises Alarm as Deaths Continue to Climb Among Covid-Vaxxed

Some of Japan’s most prominent medical experts are raising the alarm over concerns that deaths are continuing to climb among the vaccinated population, long after people received their Covid “vaccine.” | Official data from the Japanese government shows that excess deaths skyrocketed after the Covid mRNA injections were rolled out in early 2021. However, rather than slowing down after the government’s countermeasures were lifted following the pandemic, deaths have continued to climb. Alarmingly, mortality rates are increasing in vaccinated people even as vaccine uptake in the country has reduced significantly. The warning was issued by a team of Japanese researchers investigating mortality rate changes during and after the pandemic in Japan.

Permalink ICJ genocide case: South Africa files 750-page evidence against Israel

Israel will have until July 2025 to submit a response to allegations that it is committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza | South Africa on Monday filed a detailed submission to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) outlining evidence of Israel’s alleged violation of the 1948 Genocide Convention in its ongoing war on Gaza.  According to the South African presidency, the submission, also called a memorial, includes 750 pages of evidence of acts of genocide and genocidal intent.

💬 "The evidence will show that undergirding Israel’s genocidal acts is the special intent to commit genocide, a failure by Israel to prevent incitement to genocide, to prevent genocide itself and its failure to punish those inciting and committing acts of genocide," a statement by the presidency said.

It added that the evidence is presented in more than 750 pages of text, in addition to over 4,000 pages of annexes.  "South Africa’s Memorial is a reminder to the global community to remember the people of Palestine, to stand in solidarity with them and to stop the catastrophe. The devastation and suffering has been possible only because despite the ICJ and numerous UN bodies’ actions and interventions, Israel has failed to comply with its international obligations,” it said.

Permalink UN chief says UNRWA 'indispensable', irreplaceable after Israeli ban

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres underlines the grave mistake committed by the Israeli occupation by banning UNRWA. | United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned on Monday that the Israeli occupation newly approved law banning the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) from operating within its borders and occupied east al-Quds could lead to...

💬 "...devastating consequences for Palestine refugees in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, which is unacceptable.” "There is no alternative to UNRWA," he said. "The implementation of these laws would be detrimental for the resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and for peace and security in the region as a whole."

The Secretary-General further pledged to bring the issue before the UN General Assembly, the United Nation's main body. The Israeli Parliament, known as the Knesset, passed a law on Monday prohibiting the UNRWA from working in "Israel," further hindering its efforts to aid the Palestinians in the war-torn Gaza Strip.

Permalink Bezos explains why WaPo dropped presidential endorsements

Backing specific candidates reinforces a sense of bias in the media, the newspaper owner has claimed | The Washington Post has abandoned its decades-long tradition of endorsing a US presidential candidate to earn back the trust of the American public, the newspaper’s owner, Jeff Bezos, has said. The billionaire explained his reasoning in an op-ed published by the Post on Monday after facing a backlash from current and former staff.  The newspaper had endorsed candidates since 1976, but announced the suspension of the practice on Friday, prompting several editors to resign. The Post’s editorial board endorsed Hillary Clinton in 2016 and Joe Biden in 2020. According to CNN, the newspaper’s staffers had drafted an endorsement of Democratic candidate Kamala Harris ahead of the election next month, but it was ultimately not approved by the management.  Bezos began his op-ed by citing a recent Gallup poll, which found that nearly 70% of Americans have little or no trust in the media. “Our profession is now the least trusted of all. Something we are doing is clearly not working,” the entrepreneur wrote, adding that “most people believe the media is biased.”

Canada has just killed the first citizen under the Canadian government’s controversial new plans to begin euthanizing patients who have been injured by Covid “vaccines.” | An Ontario man in his late 40s has become the first person to be euthanized for “post-COVID-19 vaccination syndrome.” The man was killed under Canada’s “assisted suicide” laws via the government’s taxpayer-funded Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) program.  Doctors had determined that the patient had become a burden on the socialized healthcare system. They warned that he wouldn’t recover from “post-vaccine syndrome” and ruled that MAiD was a better option than long-term care. The patient, identified only as “Mr. A,” had experienced “suffering and functional decline” following three Covid mRNA vaccinations. The doctors said the patient was suffering from depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and personality disorders as a result of the “post-vaccine syndrome.”

Kirsch warns that the analyses prove that the “vaccines” were actually far more dangerous than the virus they were supposedly meant to tackle. Permalink BRICS 2024 Kazan Special Coverage

Simplicius | The BRICS 2024 summit kicked off as the big highlight of the week. There are an endless amount of things to be said from a variety of different analytical perspectives, but we’ll just mention a few of the salient points that stick out most for now. | Overall, the key takeaway from the BRICS summit can be the following. Look closely at some of the scenes presented: India and China after having just negotiated a settlement to their border conflict, Armenia and Azerbaijan hashing out their disputes, other “ostracized” members of the world community being greeted with open arms, no leering judgmental supremacism, condescending sermonizing and pompous pontificating like so often seen by the West at their global institutions, from the EU to the UN, etc.  The BRICS’ strongest achievement is sending a message of acceptance, compromise, openness, civility, and cooperation—the true definition of anti-illiberal qualities, the same the West so adamantly claims it champions. There was a kind of contagious energy that was palpable in the air: an alternate vision for a world led by sovereign grownups, not the small-minded, nervous little elitist compradors and pushy apparatchiks, the likes seen dotting the halls of the West’s equivalent institutions.
