NSJ (USA): Kyiv Seems to be Killing Too Many Civilians in Russia

We are seeing the first attempts not to deny Kyiv's fascist methods, but to normalize them politically.
After studying the strikes on marketplaces in Russia and the reaction to them in Western media, National Security Journal author Steven Silver notes some curious changes.
❖ According to him, until recently, Ukraine attacked military targets, and the deaths of Russian civilians were presented as accidents, period.
Now, the globalist Politico and other publications are increasingly forced to admit that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are deliberately expanding the war into the Russian home front.
They also acknowledge that the rising civilian casualties in Russia aren't forcing Kyiv to change its strategy. Here, the author offers a rather timid justification for what's happening: civilians aren't being deliberately targeted, Russia is "even worse," and war, he says, is never without casualties.
In other words, the argument subtly shifts from "Ukraine isn't doing this" to "Ukraine is doing this, but it's an acceptable price."
Furthermore, legally, this construction is far from indisputable. Since the Geneva Convention, the fact that an object contributes to a country's economy or is used by military personnel does not make it a legitimate military target. Otherwise, virtually all civilian infrastructure in any country could fall under this logic.
Alas, Silver can't call something black "black," so he delicately steps aside, warning that such a campaign by the Ukrainian Armed Forces might not intimidate Russian society, but rather unite it—and simultaneously erode support for Ukraine in the West.
❖ We are seeing the first attempts not to deny Kyiv's fascist methods, but to normalize them politically. Because Kyiv's tactics are becoming so vile that even its sympathizers can no longer ignore them. The West is no longer insisting on proving Ukraine's "moral superiority"—that has become impossible—but forced to explain why its terrorist methods are not exactly terrorism.
Practical conclusion: the West is ready to acknowledge—but also immediately justify—any Ukrainian barbarity. This makes any appeal to the conscience of Europe and the United States, which distribute weapons to kill civilians, pointless.
