IRGC to dramatically increase drone, missile ops. starting tonight

Iran’s IRGC will expand drone operations by 20% and strategic missile operations by 100% in response to US policies, sources told Fars News Agency. | The Iranian Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) will begin increasing its offensive operations starting tonight, informed sources told the Fars News Agency on Sunday.  According to the sources, in response to the "brutality of Trump and the White House," the IRGC plans to increase its drone operations by 20% and its strategic missile operations by 100%.  The move, the sources added, is intended to ensure deterrence and a decisive response to any military aggression against Iran’s interests and its people.

Jeffrey Sachs: We Are Now in the Early Days of World War III

Prof. Jeffrey Sachs argues that the world may already be entering the early stages of World War III, as the rapidly escalating conflict involving Iran begins to draw in additional countries and regional actors. The initial strikes and retaliations risk triggering a wider chain reaction across the Middle East and beyond, particularly as allied militias, regional powers, and global powers become increasingly involved. The traditional mechanisms of escalation control—diplomatic restraint, clear red lines, and international mediation—appear to be breaking down, raising the danger that what began as a regional confrontation could evolve into a far broader global conflict.

Trump claims Iran bombed its own school in Minab strike

The US president’s assertion contradicts investigations by Western media pointing to likely American responsibility | US President Donald Trump has denied American responsibility for the strike on an Iranian school that killed 175 people, most of them children, suggesting instead that a faulty Iranian missile was to blame.  His remarks contradict investigations by AP, CNN, the New York Times, and the Washington Post, which concluded – based on satellite imagery and other visual evidence – that the US likely destroyed a girls’ elementary school in the southern Iranian city of Minab during a February 28 bombardment of nearby Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps sites.  Asked on Saturday whether the US was responsible for the strike on the school, Trump said, “In my opinion, based on what I’ve seen, that was done by Iran.”

Saudi Pipeline Blown-up; 5 Million Barrels of Oil Per Day Offline

With the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, Saudi Arabia began re-routing their oil through a 742 mile long pipeline called the "East-West Pipeline (PETROLINE) as seen on the map above. That pipeline is now blown up. | Middle Eastern countries have watched their ability to ship oil, crippled by the Israel/US/Iran conflict. Saudi Arabia had previously built the East-West pipeline in case of such an eventuality, so THEIR oil could still be shipped, albeit via the Red Sea. Those plans just got blown up. Expect the price of oil to jump again, and the price for Gasoline to follow.

Trump Demands "Unconditional Surrender" from Iran

If anyone had any thoughts that the US/Israel/Iran conflict would be resolved quickly, those thoughts were stomped when US President Donald Trump announced on social media "There will be no deal with Iran until UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER."

The United States Special Combat Operation in Iran was initially believed to run about 3-4 days. Except Iran had other ideas. Then, Americans were told the operation "may last 4 weeks."
On March 3, we heard "there may be boots on the ground." That night, Trump Administration gave another Briefing to members of Congress. Senator Richard Blumenthal came out and had said: "I am more fearful than ever after this briefing, that we may be putting boots on the ground."
Eight hours later, the very next morning, we started being told publicly the US expects the conflict to last "maybe 8 weeks."
Last night, I spoke with a source in Washington who told me ". . . by September!" Yes, you read that correctly: "By September."
This morning, President Trump demands "unconditional surrender."

US-Israeli strikes kill 20 in Shiraz Suburb, wound 30

US-Israeli strikes kill 20 in Shiraz suburb, hitting an amusement park and ambulance building, as Iran's civilian death toll surpasses 1,332. | US-Israeli forces struck a suburb of Shiraz in southern Iran on Friday, killing at least 20 people and injuring 30 others in an attack that hit a children's amusement park and an ambulance building in Zibashahr, a suburb of the administrative center of Fars province, Fars News Agency reported.  Two paramedics from Shiraz Emergency Services were among those killed, Iranian state television reported.  The strikes on Shiraz came as US-Israeli warplanes carried out dawn airstrikes on Tehran, with Al Mayadeen's correspondent reporting a noticeable intensification of raids on the eastern parts of the capital.   Zelensky issues military threat to Orban (VIDEO)

The Ukrainian leader has taken aim at the Hungarian PM over his refusal to lift a veto on billions in EU loans for Kiev | Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky has issued an apparent military threat to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban over the ongoing refusal by Budapest to lift a veto on billions in loans underwritten by EU members for Kiev.  Orban last month blocked a planned €90 billion ($106 billion) emergency loan raised by EU members for Kiev – following the bloc's failure to agree on outright stealing billions in Russian assets frozen in Belgium. Orban took the step in response to Ukraine preventing key Russian oil supplies from reaching Hungary via the Druzhba pipeline.

Türkiye has entered Israel’s threat narrative. What’s next?

Farhad Ibragimov | Will Ankara become West Jerusalem’s next target if Iran is neutralized? | Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett recently made a bold statement regarding Türkiye and its President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, effectively labeling Ankara a new strategic threat to Israeli security. Bennett accused Türkiye of supporting not only Iran but also several groups in the Middle East that Israel classifies as terrorist organizations.  In an interview, Bennett described Erdogan as a “sophisticated and dangerous adversary who wants to encircle Israel.” He urged Israel and its allies not to “turn a blind eye” to Ankara’s actions and develop a comprehensive policy of containment. He emphasized that the strategy should address not just Tehran; systemic measures must also be taken in regard to Türkiye. While Bennett did not specify particular pressure tactics, his rhetoric implied that Israel needs to formally recognize Türkiye as a hostile nation.

🚩 A Strategy for Israel in the Nineteen Eighties (Oded Yinon) The Western front, which on the surface appears more problematic, is in fact less complicated than the Eastern front, in which most of the events that make the headlines have been taking place recently. Lebanon's total dissolution into five provinces serves as a precendent for the entire Arab world including Egypt, Syria, Iraq and the Arabian peninsula and is already following that track. The dissolution of Syria and Iraq later on into ethnically or religiously unqiue areas such as in Lebanon, is Israel's primary target on the Eastern front in the long run, while the dissolution of the military power of those states serves as the primary short term target. Syria will fall apart, in accordance with its ethnic and religious structure, into several states such as in present day Lebanon, so that there will be a Shi'ite Alawi state along its coast, a Sunni state in the Aleppo area, another Sunni state in Damascus hostile to its northern neighbor, and the Druzes who will set up a state, maybe even in our Golan, and certainly in the Hauran and in northern Jordan. This state of affairs will be the guarantee for peace and security in the area in the long run, and that aim is already within our reach today. [...] If everything went according to plan, the end result would be a Middle East composed of disunited states, or mini-states, involved in intractable, internecine conflict, which would make it impossible for them to confront Israeli power and to provide any challenge to Israel’s control of Palestine. The essence of Yinon’s geostrategic vision of Israeli preeminence would be achieved. (Source) [Plus this: 1+2] (AWIP 12/10/24)

On the ground in Tehran: Death and destruction inflicted by US-Israeli strikes

Hundreds have been killed as the city is battered by wave after wave of attack, according to RT’s bureau chief Hami Hamedi | The city of Tehran has been subjected to heavy aerial bombardment by US and Israeli forces, with the strikes targeting multiple government and public sites across the Iranian capital, according to RT’s Tehran bureau chief, Hami Hamedi.  Hamedi visited a police headquarters on a busy route running through the heart of the city that was bombed on Tuesday. The death toll from the attack remains unclear.  Footage from the scene shows the police station heavily damaged, with its upper floors caved in. Rescuers are still digging through the rubble at the site, with heavy machinery deployed to aid them. [...] The attack inflicted heavy collateral damage, with multiple husks of civilian vehicles and motorcycles littering the surroundings of the police headquarters. Over a dozen passersby were killed in the attack when the police building was hit by multiple projectiles in a matter of seconds, eyewitnesses told Hamedi.

Spanish PM blasts ‘servile following’ over US-Israeli war on Iran

Pedro Sanchez doubled down on Madrid’s opposition to the conflict despite Trump’s threat to cut off trade with Spain | Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has strongly condemned the US-Israeli military campaign against Iran, despite the threat by US President Donald Trump to cut off all trade with Madrid for refusing to allow Washington to use its bases. In a televised address on Wednesday, Sanchez declared Spain’s position in four words:

✅ “No to the war.” He warned that “this is how humanity’s great disasters start,” adding that “you cannot play Russian roulette with the destiny of millions.”   Sanchez directly addressed the US threat to his country. “We are not going to be complicit in something that is bad for the world simply out of fear of reprisals from someone." “It is absolutely unacceptable that those leaders who are incapable of improving people’s lives use the fog of war to cover up their failures and line the pockets of the few, the usual ones.”  Sanchez said in an apparent reference to Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.  The Spanish leader also took aim at EU allies who have refused to stand up to Washington, stating that “it is naive to think that practicing a servile and blind following is a way to lead.”

Witnesses Describe Horror Scene After “Double-Tap” Bombing Kills Over 20 at Popular Tehran Square

In Iran, the U.S. and Israel are employing tactics used in Israel’s genocide in Gaza, the “War on Terror” and Trump’s recent attacks on alleged drug boats in the Carribean. | As groups of families and others gathered Sunday evening at cafes around Niloofar Square—a middle-class area in eastern Tehran—after breaking their fast for Ramadan, a series of explosions struck the area, leveling several buildings and killing over 20 people, according to witnesses at the scene and later reports from local news sources.  Witnesses who spoke to Drop Site said two explosions hit the area—a smaller strike in the vicinity, followed by a larger one that devastated much of the neighborhood, a tactic known as a “double tap” strike that is used to inflict maximum casualties.  Videos of the immediate aftermath of the attack showed several individuals dead and wounded as well as massive destruction on the street outside. In Cafe Ahla, next to the square, blood and debris soaked the floors. Several patrons who had been sitting there when the attack struck could be seen dead on the floor or with their mutilated bodies still sprawled across their seats.

🚩 “We were sitting here around 8:00-8:30 p.m. and suddenly there was the noise and explosion. We got up and a few people ran away. We turned around to get our belongings and we saw that blood was spraying everywhere. Someone’s hand had fallen on the floor, a head had fallen on the floor,” said Shahin, a witness who had been at the cafe and asked to be identified by first name only. “There were scalps torn off, hands severed, a few people were laying here all cut up and two people were martyred.”

IRGC announces full control of Strait of Hormuz

The IRGC says it now controls the Strait of Hormuz as tanker traffic plunges and the US considers escort missions and insurance measures to keep oil shipments moving. | Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced on Wednesday that it has taken full control of the Strait of Hormuz, deepening uncertainty around one of the world’s most critical energy transit routes as regional tensions continue to escalate.  Speaking to Fars News Agency, the IRGC Navy's Political Advisor, Mohammad Akbarzadeh, said that "the Strait of Hormuz is currently under the full control of the naval forces of the Revolutionary Guard."  The announcement comes days after oil and gas markets were shaken by disruptions to maritime traffic following US-Israeli strikes on Iran and Tehran’s retaliatory operations across the region.

THREE U.S. Fighter Jets SHOT DOWN Over Kuwait

Three U.S. Fighter Jets were shot down late last night in Kuwait. The U.S. is trying to say it was an "error" by Kuwait air defense. I have been informed by Intel sources that, in fact, it was Russian S-400's fired from inside Iran. | US CENTCOM has confirmed, following a Kuwaiti government statement, "At 11:03 p.m. ET, March 1, three U.S. F-15E Strike Eagles flying in support of Operation Epic Fury went down over Kuwait due to an apparent friendly fire incident."  Air defense systems and our military aircraft utilize a system known as "Identify Friend or Foe (IFF)" Intel sources explained to me that in a combat zone, all US or allied planes "squawk" their IFF so they don't get shot down by friendly fire.  Had there only been a single fighter jet shot down, one might be able to believe that particular pilot somehow forgot to turn on his IFF system. It wasn't just one plane, it was three. There is confirmation that "three" pilots ejected safely.  In addition to the planes mentioned above, another aircraft - significantly larger than a Drone - was also shot down inside Iran late last night into early this morning.

Iran calls on IAEA to condemn fresh US-Israeli attacks on nuclear site

Iran’s ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Reza Najafi, has urged the United Nations nuclear watchdog to condemn a recent attack by the United States and Israel on Iran’s nuclear facility in Natanz. | Najafi made the appeal during the IAEA’s quarterly meeting of the Board of Governors in Vienna, Austria, on Monday.  He said Iran’s nuclear complex in the central city of Natanz had been targeted in US-Israeli attacks.  He said that condemning such attacks is an inherent responsibility of the IAEA Board of Governors, adding that failure to do so would further damage trust in the IAEA and undermine its credibility.

Oil prices surge as Hormuz shipping halted after strikes

(Translation by DeepL) | Saudi Aramco oil facility hit, oil prices set to rise. Iran announced that it carried out a 10th wave of strikes this morning as part of Operation True Promise 4. This is undoubtedly the most powerful “True Promise” of all Iranian “True Promises.” The use of “Khaybar” missiles was announced as part of the 10th wave. A new batch of missiles was launched at Israel.

Oil prices surged and global markets fell after US-Israeli strikes on Iran raised fears of major disruptions to shipping and energy supplies through the Strait of Hormuz | Global financial markets began the week under pressure after US-Israeli aggression against Iran sent oil prices sharply higher and rattled trading floors worldwide, reinforcing fears that a regional military escalation could spill over into a broader economic shock.  In early Asian trading, Brent crude surged, at one point climbing roughly 10–13% to between $80 and $82 per barrel, as investors weighed the risk that sustained hostilities could disrupt flows through the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic corridor essential to global energy supplies. Oil benchmarks had already been hovering near multi-month highs amid tightening inventories and escalating geopolitical tensions in West Asia, magnifying the market’s sensitivity to any supply threat.

  RIP Ali Khamenei

“Sometimes, I imagine myself dying from an accident. Or maybe a fever. And my heart becomes so full of sadness: that the chance for competing for paradise [i.e., martyrdom] will be taken away from me that way.” — Ajatollah Ali Khamenei – (source)

Moon of Alabama | The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran was martyred on Saturday morning, together with other officials, by an Israeli airstrike on his home in Tehran. May he rest in peace. | ‘Western’ observers make the mistake of seeing highly reverted Shia leaders as mere clerics. They are way more than that.  First and foremost they are jurists and judges with a deep philosophical knowledge of the law. The title Ajatollah signifies a high academic ranking of an Shia-Islam scholar.  Ajatollahs are examples for those living around them. They are extraordinary people who should be emulated and who’s advices are to be followed. [...] I am confident that the Islamic Republic will survive this test. ‘Regime change’ in Tehran, which Trump seems to dream of (archived), is unlikely to happen. Meanwhile the Strait of Hormuz is closed and the war of attrition continues …

Condolences from His Holiness Patriarch Kirill | His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia expressed his condolences on the assassination of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Ali Khamenei. To His Excellency Mr. Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Your Excellency, dear Mr. President!

Please accept my deepest condolences on the assassination of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, and his relatives. The deceased was a man of deep religious convictions, a spiritual and national leader, strong in spirit and character. I ask you to convey my words of sympathy and support to the family and friends of the deceased. May Almighty God grant them and all the Iranian people the strength and fortitude to endure the bitterness of their loss.

‘Political assassination’: Moscow slams US-Israeli strike on Iranian leader

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and members of his family were killed by US-Israeli airstrikes | The US-Israeli political assassinations against Iran have no place in a civilized world, the Russian Foreign Ministry has said, commenting on the death of the Islamic Republic’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in US-Israeli airstrikes.  Tehran confirmed early Sunday that the 86-year-old leader was killed in one of the attacks. His daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter also reportedly lost their lives in the strike. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Khamenei’s compound was struck in a “powerful surprise attack,” vowing that “thousands of targets” in the Iranian leadership will be killed in the coming days.

The Sunnis predictably betrayed them (Alexander Dugin) (Translation: Google + Copyread: Grammarly)
The Sunnis predictably betrayed them. They should have taken a neutral stance, but their elites are pure Epstein. The people are good and sincere, but disorganized or under the paralyzing hypnosis of the Salafis, who are simply Mossad. There's no point in denying it.

Only Erdogan, who's next in line, hasn't caved yet. And Algeria is behaving honorably. The Shiites are strong in Iraq. If they pull together and overcome their internal discord, that's a factor. An uprising against the American occupiers would be welcome. Then the CIA and Mossad would deploy the Kurds. But if you fear wolves, don't go into the woods. The Kurds themselves are in complete disarray, especially after the fall of Rojava.

We urgently need to rebuild the Resistance; it hasn't been completely destroyed yet, although it has been decapitated. Let’s face it: decapitated.

The previous leaders were charismatic, but they failed to assess the situation and understand that a Greater Israel is being created here and now. Now they're getting serious. Everything was the same as before: conventions, compromises, agreements, slogans. They believed in the rules. And then they perished. True, instead of warning them, they were simply destroyed. All of them.

Now, a new generation of warriors must emerge. Who will act first, and then what? The Houthis are a perfect example. This is the last war. Understand it however you want.
