IRGC shoots down intruding US MQ-1 Predator drone over Persian Gulf

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) air defense units have detected and successfully shot down an intruding MQ-1 Predator drone belonging to the “aggressor US military”, shortly after it encroached upon Iranian airspace over the Persian Gulf. | The IRGC Public Relations Department announced in a statement that the multi-mission and long-endurance remotely piloted aircraft was intercepted and destroyed as it entered the Iranian skies in the early hours of Sunday.  The unmanned aerial vehicle was immediately tracked by IRGC air defense systems and targeted by advanced surface-to-air missiles before it could carry out any act of aggression.  The IRGC also emphasized that Iranian airspace over the country’s territorial waters is under full control of its air defense units, warning that any intrusion will be met with a decisive response.

Trump Continues to Sabotage Any Chance of Making a Deal with Iran

Larry C. Johnson | Trump and his national security sycophants continue to live in a dream world when it comes to negotiating with Iran. | The NY Times [...] frames Trump’s approach as sowing confusion, reflecting internal tug-of-war between hawks and those wanting a quick deal to ease economic pain at home. In reporting that Trump had toughened the terms of a proposed peace framework and sent the revised version back to Iran, partly to pressure Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, the Times’ reporters said nothing about Iran’s likely reaction. Instead, they simply noted that while Trump is applying more pressure, his campaign has so far had limited effect on shifting Iran’s core positions, especially on uranium enrichment and its nuclear program.  Back in my days at CIA, we called that No Shit analysis. Neither the Times nor Axios chose to report that Iran’s position on those issues remains firm and uncompromising. Iran, exercising its territorial rights, will control the flow of ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz for the foreseeable future and will not, under any circumstance, turn over its supply of enriched uranium to the United States. I am not sure that Trump and his advisers understand that, but it would sure be helpful if the media would help educate the public about this reality.

China Navy Intercepts & Stops NATO Missile Frigate in South China Sea

Chinese military has claimed for the first time that it used ‘electronic countermeasures’ when the frigate entered disputed waters | China’s claim it had used “electronic interference” during a confrontation with a Dutch warship in the disputed waters of the South China Sea might signal growing confidence in its capabilities in this area, analysts said.  The PLA’s Southern Theatre Command, which oversees the South China Sea, accused the frigate De Ruyter of “illegally entering” waters near the Paracel Islands on Wednesday and repeatedly sending a helicopter into Chinese airspace.  Chinese air and naval forces had issued verbal warnings as well as using unspecified electronic “countermeasures” to “drive the aircraft away”, the People’s Liberation Army command said.

Congress quietly moves to integrate US and Israeli militaries

Ben Freeman | In the first step towards shifting aid further into the shadows, the House's 2027 NDAA would all but fuse the two countries' armed forces together | At a time when the American public is expressing unprecedented levels of distrust in the Israeli government, Congress just proposed tying the U.S. to the Israeli military more than ever before.  Buried in the House's version of the 2027 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) released on Tuesday, is section 224, entitled “United States-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative.” The provision would arguably do more to intertwine the U.S. military with the Israeli military than the more than $200 billion (inflation adjusted) in military assistance Israel has received from the U.S. since its founding in 1948.

Europe Uses Ukraine to Expand War

NATO's proxy war in Ukraine is morphing into a direct EU-Russia war. And the war hawks in Brussels are further escalating by attacking civilians in the Donbas and Russia proper. The doves in the Kremlin are running out of options to keep their own hawks under wraps. As things stand now, an all-out EU-Russia war is not only a possible, but by now a likely scenario. But to what end?

English Outsider: The Real Reason Why Russia Invaded Ukraine

English Outsider/Moon of Alabama | “…a rejuvenated Ukrainian military, specifically trained and equipped by NATO, positioned itself to resolve the Donbas question through military force. This in turn triggered the Russian intervention in the form of the Special Military Operation.” (Scott Ritter) | Any discussion of this war is bedeviled by the fact that most of those opposed to Western policy in Ukraine get the reasons for the Russian invasion of Ukraine wrong. They think the SMO resulted from a decision in the Kremlin to finally put a stop to NATO encroachment, not, primarily, from a decision to pre-empt a Kiev incursion into the Donbass.   Moon of Alabama: The above is a very important point. Russia did not want to invade Ukraine. It did its best to prevent an escalation of the smoldering conflict in the Donbas. But by mid February 2022 the Ukrainian troops, prepped and fired up by NATO, were only days and hours away from invading the Donbas republics.

Eleven Lebanese children killed, injured every day by Israeli military: UN

Tehran insists that any peace agreement with Washington must include an end to Israel's brutal war in Lebanon. | Eleven children have been killed or injured on average every 24 hours in Lebanon ‌over the past week, the UN's children's agency revealed on 29 May, as Israel expands its war on Lebanon despite a so-called “ceasefire” sponsored by the US that took effect in mid-April.  A total of 77 children have been killed or injured in the last seven days, UNICEF said, citing figures tallied by Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health.  The UN agency added that, since the ceasefire was announced by Washington on 16 April, fifty-five children have been killed and 212 injured.

Israeli prison guards 'gang raped, tortured' dozens of Palestinian detainees, UN probe finds

Violations by Israeli guards consisted of rape, including with objects, gang rape, shooting genitals, touching breasts and genitals, strip and cavity searches, and forced nudity | The UN has documented dozens of cases of torture, rape, and sexual violence against Palestinian detainees by Israeli prison guards and interrogators, Haaretz reported on 29 May, citing a new report issued by the office of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.  “Violations consisted of rape, including with objects, gang rape, attempted rape, physical violence to the genitals, instances of targeted shooting of the genitals, touching of breasts and genitals, strip and cavity searches conducted without apparent security justification, forced nudity and threats of rape,” the report said.  The UN identified 31 victims from the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, including 14 men, seven women, nine children, and one girl. [...] In most cases, the torture and sexual violence were carried out during the interrogation of Palestinians at military camps and detention centers, such as the Sde Teiman base and the Etzion detention center, as well as in Israeli prisons, including Megiddo, Ofer, Ramla, HaSharon, Shatta, Nafha, and Damon, and the Gush Etzion police station.

Starobelsk: Ukraine killed 21 Russian students and lied about it

Ukrainian diplomats attempted to dismiss the tragedy as “a fake story” as Russian parents mourned their children | A Ukrainian drone raid last week devastated a college dormitory in Starobelsk, in Russia’s Lugansk People’s Republic, killing 21 students – most of them young women – and injuring dozens others.  The attack was a deliberate “double-tap” that included two more waves of drones targeting civilians and first responders who raced to the scene, according to Russian officials. Russia branded the raid a “terrorist attack” and a blatant war crime. Horrific footage from the scene backed up the accusations.  However, speaking at an emergency UN Security Council session, Ukrainian envoy to the UN Andrey Melnik dismissed Moscow’s account, denigrating a “so-called incident” in Starobelsk as “a fake story” and accusing Russia of spreading “yet another propaganda narrative.”

Report: Israel Pressing the US To Assassinate Iran’s Lead Negotiator

Israel is pressing the US to restart heavy airstrikes on Iran that would involve the targeted killing of Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, one of Tehran’s lead negotiators, and attacks on the country’s oil infrastructure, Capital & Empire reported on Thursday. | The report, which cited US sources familiar with a classified report circulating within the US intelligence community, said Israel is aggressively pushing for the US to abandon talks with Iran and insisting that destroying oil infrastructure in the country could bring about regime change while also downplaying the impact the renewed full-scale war will have on the global economy.

Dell signs $9.7 billion Pentagon contract following Trump’s stock purchase

A $9.7 billion Pentagon contract awarded to Dell Technologies has reignited scrutiny over President Donald Trump's pattern of using public office to enrich himself, a pattern watchdogs say is becoming impossible to ignore. | The Department of War announced this week that Dell's federal subsidiary will oversee Microsoft software procurement across the US military, intelligence community, and Coast Guard. Within days, Dell's stock surged.  The announcement came a few weeks after Trump purchased the company’s stocks and praised it on several occasions. On Feb. 10, Trump's portfolio acquired Dell stock valued between $1 million and $5 million. Nine days later, at a Georgia rally, he told supporters to "go out and buy a Dell computer." Three more Dell stock purchases followed in March. Over the spring, Trump continued to praise Dell at public events, most recently giving the company a shout-out during a White House Rose Garden luncheon.  Dell's founder, Michael Dell, sits on Trump's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology and has appeared at White House events.

Stop the WARMONGERING. Stop the ESCALATION. Stop the RUSSOPHOBIC HATRED SPEECH

NATO’s terrorism is a calculated psyop to undermine Putin

Finian Cunningham | The Western-controlled “news” media are endeavoring to corner Russia in a no-win situation. | The increasing lethality of the NATO-backed Kiev regime’s attacks on Russian civilians is not only a reflection of the deeper financial and military support from the Western alliance.  The “success” of the NATO proxy regime in killing 21 students at a college dormitory on May 22 in Starobelsk, Lugansk, was followed days later by the killing of six more civilians in Belgorod, Bryansk, and Donetsk border regions.  On top of the civilian casualties, the NATO regime is stepping up deadly strikes on the capital Moscow, as well as oil and gas infrastructure deep inside Russian territory.  This ramped-up murder and destruction are the vile dividends from the European Union’s massive transfer of €90 billion in loans to bankroll NATO military support with purchases from European and American drone and missile manufacturing companies.  To be sure, Russia has retaliated hard after the massacre in Starobelsk with devastating strikes on Kiev using hypersonic and ballistic missiles.

Iran has won the war. Trump and Netanyahu now face a reckoning

David Hearst | The balance of power has shifted, and nations of the Middle East will no longer accept a regional order dictated by the US and Israel | Each day brings a fresh turn in the tortured negotiations between US President Donald Trump and the Islamic Republic of Iran.  Each time an agreement on one point is close, Trump picks up the phone to call his partner-in-crime, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu - and Trump then retreats from it.  This is what has happened to two points on which Iranian negotiators thought they had an agreement. According to Hassan Ahmadian, an Iranian affairs analyst, the two key elements of a 30-60 day ceasefire being proposed were that the truce would cover Lebanon, and that some Iranian assets would be unfrozen.  But however tortuous the path, and even if this deal fails and Trump decides to attack Iran for a third time, it is brutally clear that the US has just lost another war in the Middle East - its sixth in 25 years.

Al Jazeera Claims The US-Iran Deal is Done… Not So Fast

📌 Larry C. Johnson | Notwithstanding the Al Jazeera report, there are still significant areas of disagreement that make a deal between Iran and the US unlikely. | Washington and Israel want Iranian concessions first, while Tehran wants tangible, front-loaded economic and security relief before it gives ground on anything that matters. That is the heart of the present deadlock.  Iran’s position is not theatrical. It is rooted in a clear strategic doctrine: after decades of sanctions, pressure, assassinations, sabotage, and military threats, Tehran will not trade hard leverage for verbal assurances or a memorandum of understanding.  Promises are not enough. Mechanisms matter. Sequencing matters. Asset movement matters. Enforcement matters. The central judgment is this: Iran is not blinking.

West planning to use former ISIS militants against Iran – FSB chief

The jihadists are being moved from prisons in Syria to special camps in neighboring Iraq, Aleksandr Bortnikov has said | Western spy agencies are intending to use Syrian militants as a proxy force against Iran, Russian Federal Security Service chief Aleksandr Bortnikov has said.  The jihadists, who fought for Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) and other terrorist groups, are being moved from their detention facilities in Syria to special camps in Iraq, Bortnikov said during a meeting of the security chiefs from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in Russia’s Irkutsk Region on Tuesday. The CIS was established in 1991, following the dissolution of the Soviet Union, to promote economic, political and security cooperation between members. It currently includes nine nations: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Moldova, and Uzbekistan.

Are ISIS militants attacking Iran? (duck.ai) | Short answer: Yes — ISIS (including IS-K/ISKP and ISIS-affiliated cells) has carried out and attempted attacks tied to Iran or on territory near Iran in 2024–2026, and intelligence/analysis groups report ISIS exploiting regional instability to attack Iranian-linked targets and nearby areas.

                                                                               + + +

ISIS militants against Iran? (duck.ai) | A brief summary of ISIS activity or attacks targeting Iran and Iran's response.
ISIS has carried out several attacks inside Iran since 2017, mainly in the border provinces (Sistan and Baluchestan, Kermanshah) and in Tehran; notable large attacks occurred in June 2017 (Parliament and Shrine) and later smaller cross-border and local strikes.
Iran accuses ISIS and affiliated Sunni militant groups of operating from border regions in Iraq, Syria, and Pakistan/Afghanistan; Tehran has conducted cross-border strikes and backed proxy forces in Iraq and Syria to combat ISIS.
Iran labels some Sunni militant groups in its southeast (e.g., Jaish al-Adl) as linked to ISIS, though links vary; ISIS-K (Khorasan) is active in Afghanistan/Pakistan and has threatened Iran at times.
Iran’s security approach: domestic crackdowns on cells, increased military presence along vulnerable borders, intelligence operations, and regional military actions (airstrikes or support for allied militias) when it attributes attacks to ISIS or similar groups.
Current status (as of May 2026): ISIS as a centralized caliphate no longer exists, but ISIS-affiliated cells and IS-K continue low-to-medium intensity attacks regionally; Iran faces sporadic threats but has largely prevented large-scale ISIS resurgence within its core territory.

                                                                               + + +

ISIS militants against Iran? (Google Gemini) | The relationship between ISIS and Iran is one of intense, violent animosity. The two entities are bitter enemies driven by deep sectarian differences, geopolitical rivalries, and directly opposing ideologies. The dynamics of ISIS militants operating against Iran can be broken down into a few key areas:

1. Ideological Roots (Sectarian Hatred) ISIS adheres to a radical, ultra-extremist form of Sunni jihadism (Salafi-jihadism). They view Shia Muslims—who make up the vast majority of Iran's population and form the bedrock of its government—as Rafida (rejectors of Islamic truth) and apostates. In ISIS's worldview, Shia Muslims are considered legitimate targets for violence, often prioritized even above Western adversaries.

2. Major Attacks Inside Iran While Iran has highly secure borders and tight internal security, ISIS has managed to orchestrate several high-profile, devastating terrorist attacks inside Iranian territory over the years:
The 2024 Kerman Bombings: In January 2024, ISIS-Khorasan (ISIS-K, the group's Afghanistan-based affiliate) claimed responsibility for a twin bombing in Kerman during a memorial for IRGC commander Qasem Soleimani. The attack killed nearly 100 people, making it one of the deadliest terrorist incidents inside Iran since the 1979 revolution.
The 2022 and 2023 Shah Cheragh Shrine Attacks: ISIS claimed responsibility for mass shootings at a major Shia holy site in Shiraz, targeting pilgrims and civilians.
The 2017 Tehran Attacks: ISIS militants launched a coordinated assault on the Iranian Parliament building and the Mausoleum of Ayatollah Khomeini in Tehran, killing 17 people.

3. Battlefield Warfare in Iraq and Syria When ISIS expanded rapidly in 2014 and established its self-proclaimed caliphate, it posed a direct threat to Iran’s regional borders and its closest allies (the Shia-led government in Iraq and the Assad regime in Syria). In response, Iran became a primary military force fighting against ISIS:
Iran mobilized, funded, and armed powerful Shia paramilitary networks (such as the Popular Mobilization Forces in Iraq) to fight ISIS on the ground.
The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), particularly its Quds Force led by Qasem Soleimani, actively directed counter-ISIS military operations in both Iraq and Syria, cooperating loosely on a shared goal with the U.S.-led international coalition, despite being geopolitical adversaries.

4. The Role of ISIS-K (Khorasan Province) Today, the most active ISIS threat to Iran comes from ISIS-K, which operates primarily out of neighboring Afghanistan and Pakistan. ISIS-K actively recruits from disgruntled Sunni minorities in the region (including within Iran's southeastern Sistan-Baluchistan province) and heavily uses anti-Iranian, anti-Shia propaganda to justify its operations. They view Iran's regional influence as a major roadblock to their goal of establishing a hardline Sunni caliphate in South and Central Asia.

Russia Confirms Proof of US-Funded Bioweapons Program Involving Ukraine

Russia’s Investigative Committee has obtained evidence of the development of biological weapons of mass destruction involving Ukraine’s Health Ministry and funded by the United States, the agency’s official spokesperson Svetlana Petrenko said. | TXT

“During an investigation of the criminal case launched in 2022 under Article 355 of the Russian Criminal Code (the development, production and stockpiling of weapons of mass destruction), we obtained data indicating that the US Department of Defense financed the development of biological weapons of mass destruction with the involvement of personnel from Ukraine’s Health Ministry,” she said at the International Security Forum.

Petrenko specified that the case concerns the military-biological use of pathogens including the plague, anthrax, brucellosis and tularemia, which are classified as potential biological warfare agents.

Israeli regime ministers demand savage escalation against Lebanon

Two extremist Israeli cabinet ministers have openly called for cutting electricity supplies to Lebanon, seizing the Zahrani River, and demolishing dozens of buildings in Beirut, in a brazen display of the illegal entity’s inherent aggression and desperation. | Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, a notorious far-right figure, declared:

“We must cut electricity to Lebanon, occupy the Zahrani River, and return to a fierce war.” He further urged Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu to “bang on Trump’s table” and declare a return to open warfare against Lebanon.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, equally infamous for his racist and expansionist views, demanded an end to what he called the “threat of Hezbollah’s explosive drones” through disproportionate brutality. “In response to each explosive drone, ten buildings in Beirut must collapse,” he stated, while approving a special budget of nearly 2 billion Israeli shekels (around $540-693 million) supposedly to bolster defenses.

France wants to join British-German long-range missile project

Paris has expressed its interest in participating in Berlin and London's long-range precision strike program. The three countries hope to hold trilateral talks on the subject in early June | France intends to join an Anglo-German plan for the production of new long-range missiles. This was exclusively reported by the Financial Times. Paris has expressed its interest in participating in the long-range precision strike program of Berlin and London, in a move that is part of a broader French-German defence dialogue. The three countries hope to hold trilateral talks on the subject in early June.  The program, announced by the UK and Germany in 2024 as the spearhead of their defence agreement, aims to produce a family of advanced land-based missiles with a range of over 2,000 km, capable of hitting military targets within Russian territory.  The issue took on new urgency after Donald Trump cancelled plans to deploy a battalion equipped with Tomahawk missiles and other long-range weapons at a US base in western Germany. The project, dating back to the Biden era, had been conceived as a temporary solution while waiting for Europe to develop its long-range precision strike capabilities.
