Russia ready to defend Belarus from Ukraine – Lavrov

Kiev is trying to widen the conflict by threatening Minsk, the Russian foreign minister has said | Russia is ready to invoke its security guarantees to Belarus if Ukraine follows through on threats to strike targets on its territory, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has warned.  Lavrov made the remarks during a round-table discussion on the West’s role in the Ukraine conflict on Monday. He was commenting on Vladimir Zelensky’s demand that Minsk dismantle or disable what Kiev claims are Russian-linked relay stations along the Belarus-Ukraine border. Zelensky gave Belarus one week to act, warning that Ukraine would otherwise destroy the equipment itself. [...] Russia and Belarus have had a security guarantees treaty in force since March 2025 under the Union State framework. The pact treats an attack on either Russia or Belarus as an attack on the Union State and allows both sides to use all available military and technical means, including nuclear weapons, to repel aggression and threats to their sovereignty or territorial integrity.

British "Storm Shadow" Missiles Used To Attack Russia; "NATO is Now Party to the Conflict" (Hal Turner) | Yesterday, June 22, 2026, Britain and Ukraine carried out a historic attack upon Russia, with Ukraine firing British "Storm Shadow" cruise missiles deep into Russia, striking Voronezh. The date is also historic; it was 85 years ago yesterday, on June 22, 1941, that Germany launched "Operation Barbarosa," attacking the then-Soviet Union in World War 2. The attack using British "Storm Shadow" and French "SCALP" missiles was authorized by British Prime Minister Kier Starmer before he RESIGNED as Prime Minister. This is, by far, the biggest escalation of the Ukraine-Russia war.

What’s happening in Crimea right now is being orchestrated from a base in Constanta and from the U.S. They’re operating methodically and centrally through the Palantir system. The operation is being calculated by AI.”

West no longer hiding plans for war with Russia – Putin (RT) | NATO and EU leaders are using “false claims” about the supposed ‘Russian threat’ to justify rampant militarization.  NATO countries have forced Moscow to take action to defend its interests and label it as a threat to justify increased military spending:

“At first, they create threats for our country, force us to take actions necessary for self-defense, and then immediately accuse us of all mortal sins to justify the continuation of their aggressive policy,” [he said, drawing parallels to the attempts by Nazi Germany and other Western countries to label the Soviet Union as the aggressor after Germany launched a surprise invasion in 1941.]

How likely could Turkey be 'Israel's' next target after Iran?

An exclusive interview with geopolitical analyst Mahmoud Allouch examines whether Turkey could become "Israel's" next target, the drivers of their growing strategic rivalry, Syria's central role, and how likely a military confrontation could unfold. | Alongside a wave of statements and analyses, questions have increasingly emerged over whether Turkey could become "Israel's" next target. The possibility of a military confrontation between Turkey and “Israel”, despite growing signs of friction and mutual strategic concerns, remains constrained by significant strategic limitations, even as their broader relationship has steadily evolved into a more visible and multidimensional form of geopolitical rivalry.

This rivalry now spans a widening set of arenas, from the fragmented political landscape of Syria and the strategic waterways of the Eastern Mediterranean to emerging regional trade corridors and rival visions for shaping the post–Cold War order in West Asia.

As a result, what was once primarily a cautious and often indirect relationship has become a sustained strategic rivalry. Speaking to Al Mayadeen English, geopolitical analyst and expert in Turkish affairs, Mahmoud Allouch argues that the relationship between Turkey and "Israel" has moved beyond a temporary diplomatic crisis into a phase of "intense strategic rivalry".

'Turkey is the new Iran' | During the annual Israeli Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, held on February 17, 2026, several senior Israeli politicians attended, most notably Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. However, former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett took the most attention, sparking controversy and anger in Turkey, after he said, “Turkey is the new Iran”. That statement indicated that, once the war on Iran ends, “Israel” would shift its focus toward Turkey, viewing it as the next major threat. It is noteworthy that in recent months, other statements and analyses have also emerged carrying the same idea, whether from institutions or individuals close to or aligned with “Israel”.   Israel’s deliberate targeting of Gaza children part of genocide: UN inquiry

A United Nations Commission of Inquiry says Israel’s deliberate targeting of children is part of the ongoing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. | A United Nations Commission of Inquiry says Israel continues to deliberately target and kill Palestinian children, resulting in genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza and war crimes in the occupied West Bank.  In a report published on Tuesday, the United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and Israel examined Israeli violations against Palestinian children since the start of Israel’s genocidal war against Palestinians in Gaza in October 2023.  The report found that around 30 percent of people killed in Gaza since the start of the war were children.

'Israel' fully destroyed 11,000 buildings in South Lebanon: UN report

A UNDP and Lebanese research assessment estimates extensive structural damage in southern Lebanon due to the Israeli aggression. | Direct damage to buildings in southern Lebanon during the Israeli aggression is estimated at around $1.38 billion, a UN agency and a Lebanese research center revealed on Monday.

“In total, 11,095 buildings were completely destroyed, impacting 17,891 housing units, while 2,242 buildings sustained partial damage... and 9,311 buildings incurred minor damage,” [the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Lebanon’s government-linked National Council for Scientific Research (CNRS) said.]

The findings were drawn from a “rapid building-level damage assessment” in southern Lebanon, which compared satellite imagery from late April, nearly two months into the war, with imagery from October 2025. The assessment does not include damage from the most recent weeks of the ongoing Israeli aggression.

AI ‘months away’ from taking down governments

Five Eyes cyber agencies have warned that frontier models could soon transform offensive hacking capabilities | Advanced artificial intelligence models could soon give hackers the ability to cripple governments, businesses, and critical systems, cyber agencies from the Five Eyes intelligence group have warned. In a rare joint statement published on Monday, cyber security leaders from Australia, the US, the UK, Canada, and New Zealand said frontier AI models are developing faster than expected and are...

...“anticipated to exceed current industry expectations, fundamentally transforming both offensive and defensive cyber capabilities.” “The timeline is not years, it is months,” the agencies said, adding that “cyber risk can no longer be treated as a purely technical issue. This is a core business risk and leadership responsibility.”

The statement said AI will help improve cyber defense over time, but is also lowering the barrier for malicious actors, increasing the speed and complexity of attacks, while shrinking the window between vulnerability discovery and exploitation. [...] While the Five Eyes statement did not name any single model or company, the recent debate over AI security has centered on US developer Anthropic, which has faced scrutiny over its latest and most advanced systems.
