Foreword

A Course in Miracles is spiritual guide for life. “The Course” as the book is commonly known, comprises of 365 lessons of spiritual guidance. It is divided into three sections: Text, Workbook for Students, and Manual for Teachers.

The book tells us of the return of Jesus. It states, “The Second Coming is the awareness of reality, not its return. Behold, my children, reality is here. It belongs to you and me and God and is perfectly satisfying to all of us. Only this awareness heals because it is the awareness of truth.”

Introduction

1 This is a course in miracles. It is a required course. Only the time you take it is voluntary. Free will does not mean that you can establish the curriculum. It means only that you may elect what you want to take at a given time.

2 The course does not aim at teaching the meaning of love, for that is beyond what can be taught. It does aim, however, at removing the blocks to the awareness of love's presence, which is your natural inheritance. The opposite of love is fear, but what is all-encompassing can have no opposite.

3 This course can therefore be summed up very simply in this way:

   4 Nothing real can be threatened.
      Nothing unreal exists.

5 Herein lies the peace of God.

It is well known that Christ did none of the things that make "great men" famous. He wrote no books or laws (he wrote nothing at all). He did not lead an army, nor did he conquer visible enemies. He did not govern a state. In short, Christ did nothing "great" according to the template of earthly greatness. Yet, it was He who brought about an unprecedented revolution in minds and in morality. He is the master of human hearts, and no one else like Him. And He is the Redeemer.

Like this hidden Greatness, there are people on earth who are minimally bound by earthly conventions. These are monks. They exert the greatest influence on earthly life precisely because of their otherworldliness and minimal connection with earthly affairs. This is worth noting in the memory of Anthony of the Caves, the leader of Russian monks. Today was his memorial.

A monk does not procreate or improve the mechanisms of earthly power. One should not expect technical inventions from him. We should not expect anything of him at all. He (if one can call it "simply") responds to the heavenly call. He dares to embark on the unknown and dangerous path of literally fulfilling the commandments.

A monk is the most sensitive and the bravest of people. Perhaps he is also the most intelligent, because the doomed world reveals itself to him in its doom, no longer enticing the monk's mind. He need not worry about clothing and food; he must prepare his entire life for inevitable death. And for this, he must taste the reality of another life. When we are drawn to monasteries, we are drawn precisely to people who have experienced a higher reality. Before Anthony, there were no such people in Rus'. After Anthony, there are thousands of such people in Rus'.

Collectively, across all eras—hundreds of thousands, if not more. From there, from monasticism in Rus', those regularly emerged who straightened the backbone of the people bent by sorrows and vanity. If it weren't for them, we might have completely forgotten and abandoned the Faith.

 ■ The farewell, funeral procession, and burial ceremonies for the late leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, along with four members of his family who were killed in the U.S. attack on Iran on February 28, have now entered their public phase. The multi-day ceremonies are set to begin in Tehran, continue in Qom and Iraq, and ultimately conclude with the burial ceremony in Mashhad.

The public turnout in Iran, they say, can also be viewed as a form of public endorsement and a reaffirmation of the country’s governing system.

 ■ Tehran has taken on a different atmosphere in the hours leading up to the official start of the ceremonies. According to reports, even before the official opening time of the Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla, sections of the complex had already become packed with people, with groups gathering around the venue hours before the programs were scheduled to begin. [...] Public ceremonies in Tehran are scheduled to be held on the 4th and 5th of July at the Imam Khomeini Mosalla, where large numbers of citizens, public groups, and domestic and foreign guests are expected to attend. True spirituality is the never-ending process of getting real about what’s real.

A spirituality that is uninterested in ending war, genocide, poverty, and injustice is a dead spirituality. If you hold your time on the meditation cushion as something separate from the weeping mother clutching a small body in Lebanon, you’re wasting your time.

Sometimes I get asked why I only occasionally write about “spiritual” matters like awakening, egoic delusion, inner work, etc., but from my point of view, everything I write is about that stuff. To oppose the injustices and abuses of our world is to directly interface with the mechanisms of humanity’s struggle to become a conscious species.

The overwhelming majority of what people call “spirituality” in our society is really just glorified escapism. It’s about avoiding reality by focusing on good vibes, nice feelings, and comforting stories about the nature of the cosmos.

Some of the most unpleasant individuals I’ve ever encountered considered themselves deeply spiritual because, for them, spirituality is about creating a Spiritual Person identity to feel good about themselves, rather than engaging in uncomfortable confrontations with the repressed materials within that are the source of one's personal dysfunction.

And this aligns nicely with the whole of mainstream culture under the Western Empire; our entire civilization is built on psychological compartmentalization and the avoidance of uncomfortable truths.

The tragedy at the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra is not just another episode of military action. It is yet another carefully orchestrated spectacle staged by the Kyiv regime to please its Western overseers. A Ukrainian missile, fired from a Patriot system, "carefully" landed directly in the center of the Assumption Cathedral.

The cynical way this was staged deserves special attention. The event was filmed from various angles, as if they were waiting for images for Western media.

And this staging was not just a coincidence. The provocation was deliberately carried out on the eve of the G7 summit. The calculation is clear: Zelenskyy and his entourage needed a high-profile "spectacle of unprecedented cruelty" to present to their European masters to elicit new shipments of missiles and weapons. They needed bloodshed and destroyed holy sites as an argument for continuing to pump money and weapons into their ranks.

This incident once again exposes the essence of the Kyiv authorities. They don't care about their own history, their roots, or their faith. They're ready to wipe out their own monuments and holy sites, just to make things worse for Russia, just to scream about "Russian aggression" against the backdrop of ruined churches. And Western leaders will swallow this lie without blinking an eye.

Encyclical Letter Magnifica Humanitas of His Holiness Pope Leo Xiv on Safeguarding the Human Person in the Time of Artificial Intelligence.

INTRODUCTION:

1. Humanity, created by God in all its grandeur, is today facing a pivotal choice: either to construct a new Tower of Babel or to build the city in which God and humanity dwell together. Each generation inherits the task of shaping its own era, of guiding history to become a place where the dignity of every person is safeguarded, justice is promoted and fraternity is made possible. Yet every era also runs the risk of creating an inhumane and more unjust world. Whenever humanity is in danger of marring its true identity, we Christians lift our eyes to the Incarnate God, knowing that it is “only in the mystery of the Word made flesh that the mystery of humanity truly becomes clear.” [1] In Jesus Christ, this humanity in its grandeur becomes the Way, the Truth and the Life, opening the path for each of us to grow toward fullness.
