A psychopathic regime

The Israeli regime has exhibited ugly psychopathic behavior lately. The regime is probably beyond treatment, the madness has gone so far that there is no hope for change. If Norwegians carried on as Israelis are now doing, they would be locked up for the rest of their lives.

In this madness, Israel uses rhetoric that shows a frightening lack of self-awareness, as expected of psychopaths. In their wake are lots of people who have been killed and injured. The psychopaths elegantly rise above all criticism by saying that it is everyone else who is wrong. And to emphasize the madness, they claim that "it is God's will".

Israel is not alone. Israel has gained acceptance and support for its policy. This applies to the US, which actively supports and participates in the genocide with money, weapons, and bombs, and it applies to Jonas Gahr Støre, who still sees no reason to introduce diplomatic reactions and is helping to prolong an untenable situation.

Here I'm going to poke a little at Israel's rhetoric to show how bad things have become, the order is random.

"It was the Palestinians who started it"—For a psychopath, it's always the other guy's fault despite 75 years of history showing how Israel has rounded up Palestinians and relegated them to a concentration camp in Gaza, while Israelis have occupied their land. Israel has imposed apartheid, harassed, mistreated, killed, and bombed over a low shoe. The Palestinians' attempts to defend themselves, protect their property, rise against oppression, and have a dignified life have been met with disproportionate revenge. Israel started this war a long time ago.

"The Palestinians attacked us on October 7, 2023"—This, too, is a lie intended to try to place the blame on the Palestinians. For October 7 was not an "attack", it was a dramatic operation of self-defense after generations of oppression and despair. The action was justified given Israel's previous attack. Israel makes a point of being the ones who know who is attacking and who is defending themselves. Typically for psychopaths, they have given themselves the wrong role in this picture.

"We have the right to defend ourselves"—The statement was repeated by Israel and all its friends as a mantra in the early days, and the phrase sounded so good that even red-colored Norwegians repeated it loudly. The problem is that it's a lie. The occupying power Israel does not have the right to defend itself against the struggle of the people it illegally occupies, it is the occupied who have the right to defend themselves against oppression and abuse from the occupying power. Once again, Israel has psychopathically reversed the roles.

"Hamas is a terrorist organization"—We have heard this lie for many years. Part of Hamas has indeed had the job of standing up to Israel and fighting the illegal occupation in a completely legitimate popular uprising against the illegal use of force by Israel. Hamas is not a terrorist organization, but a resistance movement that is well rooted in the people of Gaza. It is unreasonable for Israel to demand that Hamas should not sit at the negotiating table or stand in the next elections.

"Israel is the victim"—Israel is the only occupying power in the world that portrays itself as a victim and as the only victim. This lie is so ingrained that anyone who criticizes Israel is accused of being an anti-Semite. The war over the past six months has clearly shown who the victim is and what inhumane measures the occupying power has taken to crush the Palestinians.

The terrorist IDF army—Israel is militarily superior to the Palestinians, which is why it is impressive to see the counterpower Hamas has demonstrated with relatively simple means. The war has revealed to the whole world that the IDF is a diabolical terrorist organization that will stop at nothing at any level. The IDF is equipped and kept alive by supplies from the US, which thus actively participates in the same mass murder of Palestinians and a possible genocide.

"Hamas beheaded small children and raped the women"—These lies have not been proven or they have been directly disproved, yet some sources still try to portray them as true. When Israel notified the US that 12 people among 13,000 UNWRA employees had participated in the 7 October uprising, the US obediently stopped its support to UNWRA immediately without asking for proof or checking the accuracy of the claims.

"Palestinians are not human beings"—This is the basis of apartheid and genocide: those we discriminate against, steal the land from, harass and abuse, and kill are not human beings like us, so it's okay that we do it and we don't have to suffer from a guilty conscience. That people who themselves have been subjected to genocide get to the point where they commit genocide against others is unimaginably tragic. Netanyahu's regime is as fixed in its view of the Palestinians as Hitler was of the Jews.

"Israel is God's chosen people"—This is one of the grossest lies. When someone uses "God's chosen people" to legitimize unparalleled devilry, the whole thing becomes blasphemous, and when someone wants an "end time" and is a believer in firing Israel's nuclear weapons to bring about "the coming of Jesus", it just becomes horrible. It looks like the god of Israel is the devil himself. It's tempting to quote Isaiah chapter 5, verse 20: "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil".

Kidnapping and mistreatment—A few hundred Israelis were kidnapped on October 7, 2023. The Israelis staged demonstrations with the slogan: "Let's bring our loved ones home". But Israel has kidnapped perhaps 5,000 Palestinians in the West Bank and detained them without trial, which they do not mention. Interviews with released Israelis and released Palestinians show that the Israelis were treated decently and properly, and given food and medical attention. Kidnapped Palestinians, on the other hand, were humiliated, mistreated, and received poor treatment. During the brief ceasefire alone, more Palestinians were kidnapped in the West Bank than Hamas kidnapped on October 7.

"Israel only kills Hamas and those who stand in the way of Hamas, never women and children"—This too is a lie. Alistair Crooke, a former British diplomat, claims that the oldest rabbis regularly teach Israeli soldiers about what is required by the Jewish "halakhic" laws and the Talmud. The message is clear: "Kill all children, they may become future terrorists, and kill all women who give birth to these future terrorists who will come and attack us." Carrying out the order is both a duty and God's will, enshrined in scriptures and interpretations that apply to believers.

"The settlers have become so numerous that they cannot give up their land"—There are now around 700,000 Israelis who have stolen property from the Palestinians and, at worst, shot those who lived there. Because there are so many of them, they say, they can't give up the land. This is of course a lie. The illegal settlers can be gathered in temporary refugee camps and tried in separate courthouses established by the UN. In any case, Palestinian land must be returned to its rightful owners; any other solution is neither credible nor civilized, for those who might care about such values.

[To conclude:] Now the Israeli lies have been exposed. Enough is enough—So far, Israel has gotten away with everything. Whatever Israel has done, there have been no consequences. No one has been brought to justice, no one has been punished, no sanctions have been imposed and no diplomats have been expelled. In this sense, Israel is the privileged counterpart to Russia. And of course, no one dreams of sending weapons and soldiers to Hamas in the liberation struggle against Israel.

But that's all over now. Thanks to Hamas' incredible rebellion, Israel's pants have been pulled down in front of the whole world, and nobody likes what they see. Hamas has won the battle, Israel has lost. Even if Israel, via AIPAC, sends millions of dollars to the most corrupt rat's nest in the world, namely the US Congress, they cannot manage to turn this around. This time, Israel must stand up and the international community must implement the solution that has been ready for many years: A two-state solution.

The US must, of course, be prevented from participating in the job, thanks to its tarnished reputation and suspicion of participating in genocide alongside Israel. Since day one, the US has had the opportunity to put an end to this disaster, but instead of picking up the phone, Joe Biden chose to support Israel unconditionally with money and bombs on the one hand, and a few airdrops of aid to the Palestinians who survived on the other. The only thing we know for sure is that we can NOT count on the US in this sad affair.

The first step ccould be taken by Norway by Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide, both (too) good friends of Israel. They could do the following:

▪ Approve the Palestinian state (was approved on May 28, 2024)
▪ Send Israel's ambassador home
▪ Implement sanctions against Israel.
▪ Implement a full boycott of Israel.
▪ Express support for South Africa's lawsuit in the ICJ (supported on May 28, 2024)
▪ Ban Israel from Eurovision Song Contest
▪ Ban Israel from sporting events

When more civilized countries follow suit on all the points in this list, the leadership in Israel will have to think again. But it is urgent, because Israel is now trying to escalate the war to Jordan, Syria, and not least Iran, with a clear desire to drag the US into a major war, and they must not be allowed to do that.

It is very encouraging to see that many Jews all over the world are demonstrating against Israel's insane regime.
