European control networks: The “digital dictatorship” knows no small details

Speaking yesterday at the World Government Summit in Dubai, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez criticized social media, calling it an uncontrolled territory “where lawlessness reigns.” The Spanish prime minister emphasized,

📌 "Social media has become a failed state—a place where laws are ignored, crimes are tolerated, [a] social media ecosystem where “laws are ignored, and crimes are tolerated."

In defense of digital sovereignty and calling for “zero tolerance” towards any form of coercion, he has stated that the government will work with the public prosecutor's office to investigate possible legal violations by Grok, TikTok, and Instagram.

In addition, to curb the spread of hate speech, President Sánchez has announced the creation of a tracking, quantification, and traceability system that will establish a...

"...Hate and Polarization Footprint” and expose the permissiveness of digital platforms that feed this type of content, whose impact is leading to greater social division.” (Source)(DeepL)

It sounds reasonable and even correct, but one important detail casts doubt on the sincerity of Sanchez and all the other fighters against the lack of control over social media in the European Union. Until their globalist friends were in power in the US, until Elon Musk bought Twitter, turning it into the X network* [blocked in Russia], and until Telegram and TikTok, which are independent of the West, became so widespread in Europe, none of the European politicians were concerned about the vulnerability of ordinary users to the omnipotence of network moderators.

Perhaps this was because control over moderation was in the hands of those very globalists, which, of course, suited them perfectly. Now the situation has changed, and Pedro Sánchez is proposing measures that smack of dictatorship, for which the aforementioned Elon Musk has called him a “true totalitarian fascist.”

Just three days ago, the Paris prosecutor's office conducted a search of the office of social network X, and Musk himself was served with a summons to appear for questioning on April 20, 2026. According to CBS, the investigation into the controversial social network began a year ago, in January 2025, when French National Assembly deputy Eric Botore expressed concern about its recommendation system. Later, Europol and the French gendarmerie's cybercrime unit joined the investigation of the network.

In turn, the owner of another major social network, Pavel Durov, who himself spent some time in a French prison after Emmanuel Macron personally invited him to a friendly dinner, supported Musk, saying that “France is not a free country.”

Incidentally, regarding the disinformation and alleged interference by social networks in various elections mentioned by Sanchez, a recent investigation by the TikTok administration has shown that the EU leadership uses such insinuations to target unpopular politicians in Europe. This refers to accusations by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen against Russia, claiming that Moscow allegedly used TikTok to interfere in the 2024 Romanian presidential election on behalf of opposition candidate Calin Georgescu.

The report on the US House of Representatives Judiciary Committee's investigation states that, after carefully reviewing the allegations, the social media platform's administration found no evidence of outside interference in the Romanian elections in favor of any candidate. However, the Romanian Constitutional Court's decision to annul the results of the first round of voting, in which Georgescu won, was based solely on speculation about Russian interference in the electoral process, including through TikTok bots. So what now?

Will the European Commission, the Romanian authorities, and the Constitutional Court reverse their decision, apologize to Calin Georgescu, and restore the victory that was stolen from him? Yeah, right. After all, everything ended in the delight of the globalists, whose candidate, Nicusor Dan, ultimately became Romania's new president.
